Bungie

Bungie

Bungie is my husband and I's first dog together, and his first pet period! Bungie is an adorable little pem who loves to play! He's a little ball of energy who will try to eat anything, much to our occasional dismay. He loves to run, and play fetch with his squeaky monkey. Unfortunately for my husband, games of fetch on the floor usually result in Bungie landing on him, or using him as a launch pad. He also has a mischievous streak, and is otherwise known as the notorious sock bandit. He makes us laugh every day, any we couldn't imagine life without him!

Deputy Dog

In Loving MemoryIn Loving Memory

Deputy was the family dog that was the kids' dog. We rescued him Memorial Day weekend of my 8th grade year (2001) and he quickly became an irreplaceable part of the family. He was as mixed as a mixed breed could get, sporting massive pricked ears, paws that made him perpetually look like a puppy not yet fully grown, a big pluming tail (the retriever in him), legs that were obviously shortened by his corgi side, and a massive german shepherd head with that never fleeting corgi smile. He was our "little boy", and loved all 4 of us kids unconditionally. He also loved squirrels, and more than once misjudged his turning radius and went skidding into the pool as he bolted out the back door after one. He was a squeaky toy dog (he had a whole basked of the things) and was locked in an eternal contest with the vacuum cleaner. When I was in college, we found out that he had cancer. It became a major factor in our lives, but it never seemed to get him down. My junior year, I went abroad for a semester. In March of 2008, I left my parents house in tears. I knew that I may never see him again, but I told him that it was ok if he wasn't here when I got back. I knew he would have done his best and that I loved him no matter what happened. To all of our surprise, not only was our little champ still trucking along when I got back in August, but he made it clear through my graduation and wedding the following May! It wasn't until July that he began to suffer paralysis in his hind legs from a tumor, and we all knew it was time to say goodbye. He was the best dog that a kid could have, and he will always be dearly missed.
