Profile: I absolutely love dogs which is why when I moved to Mexico to work as a linguist I had to adopt a little companion. Seeing the plight of the dogs on the streets here I decided to look for an organization down here that rescues dogs off the street and found one right away! I adopted a puppy that was abandoned by her owners when they moved. She is approx. 8 mos. old. The best part about her is what seems to be her mix (she is a mix dog). It is obvious that she has some dachshund in her and black lab. Maybe lots of other breeds too but these are the most obvious.

Miko is a rescued Mexican mix-breed street pup. After being found on the street with her hair all matted and malnourished she was rescued, groomed, vaccinated, given Frontline (she had more tics on her than I'd ever seen!) and sterillized. She is very spoiled now. It's true that rescued dogs just really want a chance and when they get a good one they know it! She is a very sweet little girl who doesn't bark much, chews only on her chew toys, cuddles with her mom (me) and loves to play. Her short, stalky front legs and long neck and torso indicate she has some dachsund in her but her facial features and broad head indicate some black lab. A strange combo but we get stopped on the street often by people who want to say how pretty she is! She's also a great walker on the leash!View Profile
