We rescued Brindy from the desert near our house. She was a baby, only 5 monthes old. She was dumped by cruel people after they realized she was an American Pitbull Terrier. She had been starving in the desert for over three monthes, but she was very scared, and we could never get her. Finally, we luered her in with some bread. That worked, thank goodness, because she wounld not have lasted much longer. We nursed her back to health, and decided we could not give her up. Now she is a little ball of joy, not to mention energy. We adore her, as she adores us. She is great with kids, dogs, and everyone else. Now she is happy and healthy, and loves being snuggled.

Our son found Max in the heat of summer, and Max was drinking out of a water puddle in the street in front of our house. We didn't know who he belonged to, so we made flyers. We went to the vet, and he was chiped, so they pulled up the owners address. My husband went to the address, and a guy awnsered the door. The man said that he purchased Max from a breeder out of state. The guy didn't want Max, so they gave him to a friend, then they gave him to someone else, and so on. The previous owners lived in our neighborhood, so we contaced them, and they didn't even want him back. So, we kept him, because our son had gotten very attached to him. He now sleeps in our son's bed every night. Max loves to snuggle, over everything else. He enjoys playing with our other big dogs,(He thinks he is a big dog) and he loves meeting other people. When we go to the dog park, the first thing he does, is he goes over and sits on other peoples lap. We love Max!

Sadie is a small female shepard mix. She was found on the northern Arizona Reservation on a job site. If you are familiar with these areas you know that the feral dog population is a major problem. It is very upsetting for dog lovers to witness the stray and wild dogs who are starving, injured and sick. They are usually anapproachable and can be aggresive due to fear of humans. My husband found Sadie, she approached him which is very unusual. He called to say she was the "wiggliest" dog he'd ever seen and couldn't leave her there. She was starving and later we found out pregnant. We also found out from our vet she had signs of experiencing head trauma. (maybe thats why she wasn't afraid of humans??) a construction worker told my husband there was two of these dogs but one had been hit by a car and killed. We figured she must have been hit too. We nursed her back to health and when she had her four puppies were determined to find good homes for them. All of the puppies stayed in the family. We NEVER want to experience this again. We would never breed our animals as it is too hard to give the puppies away once you become attached. We worried about their future like they were our kids. We ended up with one of her sons, and they both fit in our pack like they were meant to be with us. Sadie is a grateful, loving puppy. We love her as she loves us.

Chloe is the only dog in our pack that we actually went to get. The other four are rescues. Chloe has been in our home the longest of our five, and she is the leader of the pack. All of our dogs look up to her. Chloe is the role model dog, she loves humans and dogs, and she's curios about neighborhood cats. Chloe listens great, and she loves coming camping and hiking with us. It really stinks that American Pitbull Terriers get a bad reputation because they just want to please their owners, no matter how cruel people are. Chloe is an average well trained Pitty, and with the right training, Pitties are the ideal dogs. Chloe is very calm, but she also has a ton of energy when it comes to playing. She always makes sure she has a spot on the bed. Chloe is our Sweetheart!

Believe it or not, Petey is Sadie's(see pittylover's profile) son. Petey is 80 pounds, and he is a big goofy boy. Petey has two sisters and a brother, and they all stayed within the family(Aunt & Grandparents). Petey listens better than any dog. He loves getting out with us, like to the dogpark and camping. Petey loves people, and dogs. Petey is an awesome boy. We love Petey!
