Hello, I am Jack. I am a sugar beagle, a rare and infectiously sweet breed of the noble beagle stock. They say I am a beagle mix because of my coloring and my beagle tendencies, except I have a curiously long body for my breed. But, nobody really knows where I was born or how I spent my very early days of puppyhood. One evening I waddled up an unknown street and was immediately swept into the arms of my new family. My parents just cannot fathom how I arrived there and why I wasn’t tucked away some place warm and safe. Despite having a bunch of ticks and few stomach worms, the vet said my only real problem was my incurable cuteness. So, here I am now, just sleeping, taking walks, eating biscuits, scratching, playing, you know, just living the life. I love my new family, especially my cousin Samson, who came to visit me over Christmas, all the way from LA!

This is Peaches! We saw her one day at the Cleveland city kennel, and could not understand why she was on death row. I mean, look at her! Thanks to the Berea Animal Rescue Fund, we were able to snatch her from the clutches of impending doom and bring her home with us. With loving parents, diligent training, and a bit of pampering, she is on her way to becoming a true ambassador for her breed!
