Duchess is our beautiful Mastiff who we adpted from Southern States Mastiff Rescue 2 days before Christmas in 2006. She was pulled from a trailer with 60 other dogs. She suffered from ehrlichiois, a tick borne illness, and was in organ failure. After 6 mos. in foster care, we adopted her. She is now our big lazy Mastiff couch potato :)

Shadow is our 9 1/2 yr old Shepherd/Chow mix. My husband got her from a former co-worker who found her on the street. She was only about 3 mos old when we got her and she was very shy and scared. We think she may have been abused and abandoned. She is our "once in a lifetime" dog. She is so smart and quirky. She is so great with other dogs and that's a good thing, since we do foster care for the rescue organization we adopted our mastiff from :)
