Kora and her five brothers got off to a rough start, living under an open porch with no clean water or loving care. The owner gave the puppies up to a border collie rescue organization. Kora's been with us - and our 7-year old lab - since she was three months old. She is sweet and a little nuts at the same time! Maybe we should have called her Snickers. She loves chasing after birds in our yard and has yet to figure out that she's just not going to catch one. And she loves roughhousing with our lab. We are glad she is part of our life.

Bogey's a 7-year-old lab. There's just no better way to say it: He is perfect. We rescued Bogey from the humane society when he was less than two months old. He loves to walk, to get butt-scratched, to chase the red ball and try teaching his new puppy-sister how to "Be Like Bogey!"

In Loving MemoryI rescued Sable in Virginia in 2000. I was living alone and she was my constant companion. Of course, we liked the same TV programs and the same books ! She loved catching the ball, playing with the neighbor's dog - a big retreiever named Val - and me. There is so much to say about Sable, but the most important thing is that we were each other's best friend. In November 2011, we had to let her go - probably the hardest thing ever. But I believe she is somewhere full of cool dogs, red rubber balls and people who never tire of throwing them!
