Profile: I'm a high school speech, drama, and journalism teacher currently working on my master's in library science. I live in rural Arkansas and have three dogs; two rat terriers, Mojo & Dixie, and a shih-tzu named Baxter. I also have a cat named Pepper which they love to torture (but she can outrun them and hold her ground!).

Mojo was born on January 16, 2006 and I picked him out in mid March. He was the only puppy in the litter who crawled up on my lap and fell asleep. He slept on my shoulder the whole 2 1/2 hour drive home. Of course he got frisky once we did get home. He never seemed homesick and was immediately my lap dog. He loves digging for gophers and chasing anything that runs. He is well behaved except for getting on top of the table to steal food and torturing the cat. He can sit, lay down, and roll over; and he quickly does all three so he can get his treat in a hurry. He loves my other rat terrier Dixie (which I got to keep him company during the day while I worked) and keeps my latest pet, a shih-tzu named Baxter, entertained. One of his favorite things to do is to lick my best friend's kids all over. He has been an expensive little dog because he had to have an operation to put a pin in his leg after the mail lady hit him (but he runs like it was never broken now), and he was snake bit and his head swole up twice its size (which was another fairly large vet bill). But he's worth it all.View Profile
Baxter originally belonged to my best friend's brother, however he decided that a puppy was more work than he wanted. I glady adopted him because I had already been around him and knew how adorable he was. He gets along wonderfully with my two other dogs, rat terriers named Mojo & Dixie. He is the happiest little thing I've ever seen. He even likes to ride on my stomach while I'm on a float in the swimming pool. He's completely rotten, but I love him anyway.View Profile
When I got Dixie she was already three months old. She was so nervous that she threw up twice on the hour and half drive home. She wasn't too keen on my other rat terrier, Mojo, for the first couple of days, but once she adapted they have been inseperable. She still gets car sick and refuses to get in the car whereas my other two dogs love to ride. She is perfectly content to stick around the house and hang out with the outside dogs that belong to the neighbors. I've never had to worry about her chasing cars or venturing too far. She is my well behaved dog. My uncle, who lives next door, absolutely loves her and saves all of his best table scraps for her. She enjoys eating, sleeping, and getting in the recliner between the arm and me when she is in the mood for a little loving.View Profile
