Profile: Hi my name is Lisa and I love Dachshunds! I received my first dachshund from my husband on my birthday 12 years ago. (She was a mall dog!) A little black and tan girl that we named Kodi. Sadly, we lost Kodi 2 years ago to heart failure. She was my baby and I missed her very much. Thankfully I had two other Dachshunds to help me grieve. We got Haylie (She's the avatar photo) a month after Kodi died and she really was an angel who helped me. Sadly, Haylie got out and we never found her. When I told her breeder what happened she told me that Haylie's mom just gave birth to a litter on the same day that Haylie left. My husband and I though that was a sign and we adopted one of the girls. So now we have Kaylie named for Haylie and Kodi. She really has both personalities in her! So I am stopping at four dachshunds for now because it is hard but if I ever buy a ranch with acreage look out! Nothing beat a Weiner!

Kaylie is a puppy that we got because our dog Haylie ran away. She is was born on the exact day that Haylie left and is her 1/2 sister through her Mom. We named her Kaylie in memory of Haylie and our first Dachshund Kodi.View Profile
Savannah is our 2nd youngest Dachshund. She is half American Cream and half English Cream. She is also our smallest weighing in at 8lbs. She melts our hearts when she looks at us with her big brown eyes. She is three years old as of July 18, 2010. She loves cantaloupe and apples. She is our alpha dog. She rules the other three and it doesn't matter if they all outweigh her!View Profile
Riley is our oldest Dachshund. He is red with long legs and very loving. He does suffer from seizures and takes medication daily. He has a seizure one to two times a month. He was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2006 but we think he was having seizures since he was 5 years old but we thought they were "night terrors" because he would wake up in the middle of the night frightened and run around bumping into things. He was attacked last year 2009 by a coyote or bobcat. We are not sure because we didn't see the attack in our backyard. He had two major surgeries in one day. His liver was lacerated. After a week in the vet and 8k later he is a true survivor and nothing gets him down! He's going to be 10 years old this July 31st and we hope he will be with us for a long time. He's my baby boy and I can't even think about him not being here without us.View Profile
Quintin aka "Q-Dawg" is our second oldest at 7 years as of July 15, 2010. He is a chocolate dapple with Isabella. He is a handful. He is the typical bully dog. He does not share toys and will steal them from the others. He's also the most challenging in maintaining weight. He is very husky! He was meant to be an only dog because he barely tolerates the others and he is the only dog we ever had to enroll in obedience school! He wouldn't following any instructions through the course then on the graduation day he did every command flawlessly! We love our little butter ball though!View Profile
