Profile: I am an animal lover of all kinds! All of our dogs and cats are rescues and we just recently fostered a mother yellow lab and her litter of seven puppies, hints how we got our last puppy. It is so rewarding to have an adopted pet. They know you saved them and they are so greatful for it and they show you that everyday.

Ruger is the newest addition to the family and he fits right in. He is half lab a quarter husky and a quarter golden retriever. Ruger is very calm and polite when he is out in public but when he is at home with our two other labs (the big kids) he is a bundle of energy. He likes to play with his big stuffed duck and his braided rope. Ruger has also figured out that he loves water! So now I can't water any of the plants without his help. The update: Ruger is going to be 5 months tomorrow (08/12/2011) he is weighing in at 53lbs! He is now as big as Breyer! The vets are estimating him to be 100 - 120lbs full grown, which is alot bigger than we had originally thought. Ruger can sit, stand up, and stay. The new tricks we have been working on are lay down and shake. He has discovered he LOVES to swim! If he gets any where near the water he is in it. Ruger also figured out what COOKIES are, he picked up on that real quick from the big dogs.View Profile
Breyer is our first kid and he is my baby. He is so calm and layed back and always has been. You could not ask for a better dog! He gets a little grouchy with Ruger now and then just because he doesn't see why he has to have this little creature following him around and biting him. But for the most part he is very patient with the baby.View Profile
Paddles is the middle child I guess you could say. She is the only female but she plays just as hard as the boys. She has decided to adopt Ruger (the new puppy) as her own baby. She takes such good care of him and is so gentle. Which if you watched her play with my husband or I you would not guess that out of her. She weighs in at almost 100 pounds and she thinks she is a lap dog. We adopted her when she was a 1 1/2. The family we adopted her from didn't have time for her so all the did was leave her in a pen but now she has 10 acres run on and sleeps in the house at night and no none of our dogs are the least bit spoiled haha.View Profile
