Lily on her 1st birthday (2-11-10). Lily came to us from a gentleman who took in her mother as a stray. He thought her owner would quickly claim the pregnant girl, but no one came forward. He lived on a farm and already had 3 dogs so taking her in and caring for her was not a problem. She had 7 puppies and he found homes for all them and the mother!

Mini (the Minikins) is an eleven pound Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound mix that we adopted from a local Shih Tzu rescue group. She had belonged to an little old lady who died. Her grandson had taken in the little dog, but then it realized his own son was allergic. He knew someone associated with the rescue group (as did I) and that's how she came to be the smallest dog we've ever owned! If she can't sit on my lap then she has to be in her little bed on my desk!
