Hi everyone! My name is Hunter and I am a 4 year old Chocolate Lab. I live in Texas. My family adopted me when I was 6 weeks old, a little early but I turned out great. When I first came home my family had a Boxer named Cinnamon I always used to play with, but sadly..Cinnamon passed away when I turned 2. I am a very friendly dog, I greet everybody with a smile and a wag of the tail! Though I can be very protective of my family if I feel that someone will hurt them. I have lots of human friends, and dog friends too. I have a friend named Bailey, a Maltese, Chipper, a Mixed Breed and Charlotte, a German Shepherd. I play with them all the time when I go down to the park. I've been told I'm a very obedient dog, I know over 45 tricks! Ranging from the basic "sit" to the "Dance", I will do anything for a good treat. I like jumping for treats, when someone has one I sometimes can jump so high as to reach their face! My favorites are Sweet Potato & Fish treats and Milk Bones. My mommy trained me to balance treats on my nose-and I patiently wait for a command before eating them. I can also balance my Frisbee, bones and other things on my head and nose. I'm very full of energy, when I'm outside I love running laps around the yard. My mommy makes make-shift obstacle courses for me, and I love running them! I also like going for a walk in the Forest and up the hills. Since it's basically always hot here in Texas, when I get tired and hot I like getting small licks of Vanilla ice cream or lapping up water from a Water Bottle. Though I have energy, I still love to be a cuddle-bug and snuggle up on the Sofa with my mommy. I always have this funny thing I do--I arrange the pillows the way I want them before laying down! I love getting my belly rubbed too, every time someone goes to pet me I instinctively turn over on my back for a tummy rub! I also competed in Dockdogs in February, and my best jump was 8 feet, 10 inches! I'm a fun-loving guy and I am happy to be in my forever home!View Profile
Cinnamon passed away on March 19th 2008 a few months shy of her 9th birthday, I had her since I was four years old, She was my first dog. There is not a day in my life that I don't miss that cute little face or that howl she makes when she wants my attention. She was such a great dog and there will never be another dog like her. Rest In Peace Cinnamon, My pretty little lady. Lady was her nickname, Everytime I called her "Pretty Lady" she looked very proud and wagged her tail. She is the entire reason my Labrador Hunter is such a good dog, We got Hunter when he was 6 weeks old, Cinnamon was like a second mother to Hunter, Although Cinnamon had never had any puppies herself she treated Hunter like he was her own. He has a lot of her traits, Her sweetness, gentleness, protective nature and sometimes on a rare occasion does a boxer curl. When Cinnamon passed away, I was the only one home. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had found her in my dads room on the floor, Curled up the way she always loved to sleep. As soon as I touched her (As I thought she was sleeping) she was ice cold, I fell to my knees and cried my eyes out, asking the world "why did you take my baby" Hunter knew she had passed he had tried to wake her up by kissing her on the cheek, Then nudging her side. After that didn't work he started to paw at her as he was doing that he was whining. I really do miss my little Cinnamon, She was such a good girl. Sorry there aren't many photos of her, but I never really had the time to take many...View Profile
