Profile: My boyfriend and I are first time dog owners, having recently fostered and then adopted our lovable furry friend, Koda. Koda was a stray that ended up in the shelter for WAY too long, so my best-coworker convinced me to take him in (it wasn't that hard to convince me!) He won over our hearts and after a few weeks, we adopted - the shelter workers happily refer to us as "foster failures :) We were told Koda was a German Shephard/Sharpei mix, however we've never been totally convinced about the Sharpei part. After recently joking that his ears make him look like a dingo, we went online and did some Googling, only to soon realize that maybe we are actually onto something. Having spent some time now looking at pictures of Dingo/Shephard mixes, I'm fairly sure that may be what we've got! Maybe some of you experts out there would have some further insight. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect demeanor in Koda... he is docile, snuggly, quiet, patient, and polite (no begging, jumping, barking, etc.) Looking forward to exploring the site more and sharing pics, stories, etc.!

Koda is somewhere between 1 1/2 - 2 years old, we fostered him from a Milwaukee shelter in May and adopted a few weeks later. We are compassionately referred to as "foster failures" :) Koda was a stray that spend way too many days in the shelter; I am so happy and grateful every day that he found his way into my life! We were told he was German Shephard/Shar-pei mix, however we've never been fully convinced about the Shar-pei part, and after a tiny bit of research, we are beginning to wonder if he is part Dingo! My research into that inquiry is what led me to this site, so perhaps you all out there may have some insight into his possible breeds!View Profile
