My wife and I adopted Molly from a local pound. A family that bred dogs and horses was moving and didn't want to "deal with their dogs" so they dropped them off at the pound. We got Molly, the last of the puppies from a great family of dogs. We love her and are grateful that we got to do the right thing by adopting.
