Profile: I am a dog lover and never thought I would be. I always loved cats growing up. When I met my husband we got a dog that he kept at his house but she was ours. She was a doberman and collie mix and she was the greatest. My husband had to move and had to get ride of her. Then when we got married we got Sox she was a pit. I feel in love with her but she was old. When we got Konan (RIP) we thought he needed someone younger to be with so we got Princess and gave Sox to a friend. She and Konan became inseparable. Then about 2-3 yrs ago we took in Rocky. He was rescued after almost being starved to death. These three are like our kids. When Konan died last yr it almost killed me. Rocky and Princess are still the loves of my life. Rocky is just happy to be alive. He loves to be touched and talked to. Princess she is a ball lover and she loves to run and play as well.

We got Princess when she was 6wks old. She was a present from my husband. She was given to us from our neighbors. They did not register her with AKC because of her being white. We got her under the conditions that we would have her spayed (which we were going to anyway). She became the #2 love of our lives. She is 9yrs old but will be 10 in June. She loves to run and play. She has a ball addiction. She is mommy's girl. She and Konan weren't to fond of having a new brother when we brought home Rocky but they warmed up to him quick. She loves to have her ears rubbed, she loves to dig and roll in red mud. She is white only while she is in the bath, because as soon as she is out of the bath she loves to roll in that mud!! She is our "dubby dot"!!View Profile
When we got Konan I didn't want another dog. We had a pit at the time and I thought that was enough. We went to "see" him as my husband said and he knew that I would fall in love with him instantly, and I did. He won me over at first sight. We had him for almost 9yrs when I found him laying as far away from the house as he could get. I was feeding them and he didn't come up to the house when I called for him. I looked at the other two puppies I have and said "where is Konan" and they went toward where he was at but would not go all the way there. So I took a look for myself and it became the most horrible day of my life. He never showed any signs of being sick and it was not cold enough for him to have frozen, I didn't know what could have happened. My husband was at work and I was by myself and I called him crying and trying to tell him he was gone. He came home to bury him and to calm me down. Well it hit me hard but the next day after it all sank in it hit him harder. They were best friends. If my husband was in the back yard then Konan was on his heels. He loved to be around my husband. He loved to play pranks on Princess by tipping her food bowl over after it was just filled. She use to harass him at the food bowls when they were younger. You will notice in the pics that he has places on his legs...well we are not sure why but he loved to chew on the bends of his legs all the time. He learned that he was tall enough to reach the door bell with his nose and that he got a response from us when he did. So he would ring the door bell when he wanted to come in and when he wanted food. So you can imagine now how we feel when the door bell rings. He passed away Jan 31, 2008.View Profile
Rocky is just the happiest dog alive. We rescued him from the pound. You see he was almost starved to death about 3-4 yrs ago and he was taken from the people he lived with. At the time my husband had to do some training for his job and that included going and spending a day at the pound...that is when he saw him. He came home and told me about him and what he had went through. I wanted him but I wasn't sure we could handle 3 dogs. So I let it go for a while because he was still "in jail" until his trial date (when I say his trail date I mean his previous owners). Well he went to court and they took all rights of owning any kind of animal from them. That is when I got the call from my husband that I could go and get him if I wanted him. I was like I will go and look at him and see if I think I want him or not. Well on my way up there I started thinking of names for him in case he didn't have a name. I came up with Rocky. Well when I got to the pound I went in to see him and you guys as soon as I looked up and seen that his name was already Rocky I knew that God was telling me this is my dog. Well I went to put him in my car and he wouldn't sit in the back like I wanted him to. He rode home sitting between my back and the seat. He was in love and so was I. When I brought him home he weighed about 50-55lbs (when he was rescued he weighed about 20-25lbs.) now he is about 75-80lbs. I didn't know what Konan and Princess would think of him so we put him in a kennel in our back yard (our back yard is fenced in and the other 2 were not in there with him) for a couple of days and let them get use to him being there. You know of course he and Konan were going to fight they were both males but that was 1/2 true. Princess fought with him more then Konan did. But once they all got use to each other they became fast friends. I tried telling my husband what the pics of Rocky looked like when they found him but he didn't believe me. So it just so happens that the officer that rescued him became a road deputy and my husband got to train him one night and he kept the pics of Rocky in his private car and brought them and gave them to my husband. When he came home crying and told me he had the pics I knew we had made the right choose to keep him with us. We became his permanent foster parents. Now he is just so happy all the time. He runs and plays, but Princess keeps him in line.View Profile
