Farah is a mini dachshund. She is a long hair red/dilute in color. She was born July 18,2008 on an early friday mourning around 3:00 am along with the rest of her litter mates that are also all female. Farah is the runt of her litter, and she was also the first one to be born. She is one that I have chosen to keep. I also still have one more of her sisters at home that I have named Kindle. One that is still available for adoption. She was the fourth one that was born. Her sister Scarlet was the last one born and the largest puppy that was born. Scarlet was the first to be sold. She looks alot like her sister Kindle. The next to be sold was the true twins that were born in the same sack. They did not go to the same home, but their new owners say they are doing very well. I called them Vannah and Xina. They were both choc/tan smooth coats. Vannah's new owners have kept her name the same. Xina was changed to Brandi. Scarlet's name was changed to Annabelle. Also pictured in this album is Phoenix a red long hair dachshund, and a Botet a black/tan smooth coat. They are Farah's parents. Sister Vannah is also pictured. She is a choc/tan smooth coat dachshund.

This is Kindle. She is a mini dachshund. She was born on an early friday mourning July 18, 2008. She is a long hair red/sable, although I am not really sure if she is cosidered a sable or a brindle? This is my first litter with long hairs, because of my new family member Phoenix. Kindle's mother a long hair red mini dachshund. Before her I only had smooth coats and only two colors were born to them. My two smooth coats are a choc/tan female named Latte, and a smooth coat black/tan male named Botet. They are both around the same age of five and six years old. Anyway I am new to the new colors that were thrown from my red long hair female Phoenix. Which is the reason I got Phoenix so that I would have a variety of color. My first instint was that both Kindle and her sister Scarlet were both brindle from the time they were two weeks old when their color was more visable, but the vet assitant told me no that they were both chocolate like the other two chocolates that were born in this litter. Well I knew they were not chocolate, because I know chocolates since that is the most common color I have gotten for the past six litters that I have had. So they were no new color to me, and this vet that I just started going to must think that I am a beginer all together on the breed. Which is not the case. I have breed mini dachshunds for the past 11 years. I just only breed two colors. Due to request from potential buyers of wanting long hair as well as more colors I went and purchased a long hair red female. Knowing that the red female is the one who will throw the other colors. Well anyway I asked the breeder that I purchased Phoenix from what color she thought these two pups are. She told me that they are sables, but when I researched it online they really do not fit the sable discription. On the AKC website it says that a true sable looks like a black/tan from a distance, except if you rub the hair in reverse the under coat is red not black. Well this is not like that with KIndle and Scarlet. Theirs is more red with black broken lines running through out their hair in different directions. Too me looks like a brindle. So if anyone is familier with this color please inform me of which so that I can list her correctly on her papers. I have already list Scarlet on hers when I sold her as a sable, and I believe that it is incorrect. Also pictured in this album is her mother Phoenix a red long hair dachshund, and her father Botet a black/tan smooth coat. Update on Kindle. Kindle has been adopted and will be going to her new home on Saturday Dec. 6th 2008. We will all miss her dearly. We love you Kindle!

Raisin was born on September 10, 2008. She is a mini choc/tan smooth coat dachshund. She was born in the late afternoon on a wednesday. She was a single puppy in this litter. her mother is Latte a five year old mini choc/tan smooth caot dachshund as well. She is the last she will have, because Latte is going to be fixed now due to her age. This is why I have chosen to keep Raisin. To preserve Latte's bloodline. I have not decided her full name yet for registration. Maybe there is a unique name that someone could tell me to help me out? The same goes for Farah her half sister. They both share the same sire. Other dog pictured with Raisin is mother Latte. Also picture of Father Botet in this album.

Deagan is only five months old when this picture was taken. He is a new family member that I just brought home November 25,2008. He is so sweet and very playful. He does not know his own strength. When he stands on his hind legs he is over four feet tall. He is still growing, and will not reach full matruity until he is almost two years old. Irish Wolf Hounds are around 6ft 4inches- 7ft tall when full grown standind on their hind legs. Standing on all fours at adult hood they are nearly 4ft tall, and wiegh 90-130lbs. They come in several colors Grey,White,Brindle,Cream,Red,Black and a few more colors as well. Grey is the most common color though. Irish Wolf Hounds are the tallest dog in the world. When Deagan is full grown I will have an average size pony. Oh forgot to mention that my husband and I adopted him from the animal shelter. They said he was a special dog. They were not kidding! We both knew what he was an Irish Wolfhound as soon as we saw him on the internet, and when they took him to the vet he verified that he was indeed an Irish Wolfhound. Which I knew it already, and knew that he was just a puppy. The vet said that Deagan was around 5 months old. I have been reading online a lot about the Irish Wolfhound and found out that they are only expected to live 8 to 10 years because of there size, and many health problems. Well Deagan has checked out to be perfectly healthy, and hope throughout the years he will remain that way. I have also found out that black is very rare, especially a solid black one, and is most expensive. Oh Deagan how on earth did you come to be at the Shelter, and be on the list to be euthanized? I am so curious about what his story is?? I guess I will never know it? He was not micro chipped either, which was another surprize, but he will be now. You are so lucky that I found you Deagan, and I will never let any harm come your way again. We are so lucky to have him. He has put our smiles on our faces. We love you very much Deagan. The name Deagan is an Irish name and it means The black haired one. The only thing that I can think of is how he ended up at the shelter? Is it due to the economy some how? I do not know? I have been hearing stories about people leaving their dogs behind, because of losing their homes or just simply dumping them for lack of money to feed them. I can not imagine doing this to one of my dogs no matter what the reason. It seems to me there would have to be a better solution then doing such a thing.
