Macintosh was rescued from a city animal shelter. He was about 4 when we got him and had about a years worth of hairgrowth which was matted completely down to the skin with briars, burrs, and sticks woven in. He was a mess. But, I got him shaved down and he's grown into a perfectly gentlemanly schnauzer.
