Madeline is a lively, energetic, intelligent and affectionate Basset Hound/Beagle cross. Her favourite activities include stealing food, playing with her brother, Gus, getting attention, playing with her humans, going for walks, jumping up on visitors to her house, howling, and sleeping.

Gus came into our family in July of 2007, aged around 5 or 6 months. He was a gentle, fun-loving, and playful puppy. Once his big sister Madeline got used to him and realized that she could knock him down with one paw, they became the best of friends. Even though he's only about 20 months old, Gus sleeps a good 20 - 22 hours per day. When he's not sleeping, Gus enjoys playing with Madeline, going for walks, eating, and getting hugs from people.
