Profile: I volunteer for an all-breed rescue based out of Guelph, ON. I have a Honours Bachelor of Science with a major in Zoology from the University of Guelph. While I didn't have high enough grades to become a veterinarian, I had a strong interest in becoming a vet tech. However, after volunteering at a clinic and watching a few surgeries, it quickly came to light that it wouldn't be the career for me since I nearly passed out each time! I currently work at a college in Ontario, and hope to teach at the college level in the future.

Update September 12: Josie has been moved to a new foster home, since she is less experiencesd and Josie is such a breeze! See Hercule's profile for more information about the newest addition to my home! Josie is a sweet girl who was rescued from a shelter here in Ontario where she was scheduled to be euthanized. Her previous owners had kept her tied up in the yard all the time and when they got complaints about her barking, their solution was to drop her off at the shelter! She's in foster care with me until a forever home is found! She is the nicest girl who will sit quietly for forever as long as you're petting her. She loves going for walks and trying to get the goodies out of her kong. At around 4 years old, she's a pretty laid back girl and can often be found snoozing in her crate.View Profile
Update February 17: Hercules was officially adopted back in January...I'm a little slow in updating! His new family is really enjoying him. Update October 24: Hercules is such a happy active man! He adores the dog park, and sticks by pretty close. He's super smart and is going to make the right family very happy! Hercules is my newest foster pooch! He was rescued from a shelter in Ontario. He's a cute, cute, cute little shepard hound cross, at just about a year old. How did such a cutie end up in rescue? His previous owners "didn't have time for him".View Profile
Update! She has a new forever name....Tahsis (google Tahsis, BC!). My little Celina Bean. This sweet little girl (who has a rough and tumble streak to her!) made me fail fostering after I had convinced myself that I couldn't keep her because "it wouldn't be right". So much for that! While she looks like a golden, her mom was a black lab mix! I have no idea what dad is...mom was picked up stray in Ohio and was scheduled to be euthanized with a belly full of puppies. Instead, some amazing people worked together at the last minute to pull her from the shelter and transport her to safety in Canada. She had 10 puppies on Halloween 2009 in the early morning. Don't shop...adopt! There are some true gems out there.View Profile
