Anyanka Natasha Porter

I selected Anya before she was born. While searching for a companion for current Min-Pin Chely, I came across a pregnant German style Mini-Pin. Two days after she was born I was permitted to go see her and fell in love with her rolly-polly body and aggressive attitude. Chely not so much. Over the following eight weeks, we visited Anya every few days. Every time Chely looking at me with a "If you keep seeing that thing you're gonna end up bringing it home" stare. And when I brought her home I got an "I told you so" look from Chely who took the new puppy in as her own. Kept it clean, played with it and taught it absolutely nothing of use. Anya has quickly become not only an adorable dog who looked nothing like the female I got her from, but a great companion to my Chely. With her strikingly different personality, she is shy but quickly opens up to new friends, destructive, chews on everything, she has fit in as a perfect new member of the family.

My first Min-Pin! I found Chely in Birmingham, Al. From the moment I saw her I knew she had to come home with me. First time I saw her she was terrorizing her two little red sisters and stopped to look at me with her tiny little brown eyes, cocked her head like the RCA puppy and then went back to terrorizing her family. From the moment I brought her home she wanted no one but me. She would sit in the shower with me just to not be alone(now that she's five she lays on my clothes just outside the shower most of the tim but still jumps in with me on occassion). She has been my best friend, supportive, loving, and entertaining. She hates strangers and takes a long time to warm up to new people. If you're sad she will come lick your tears, if you're happy she will squeak a tiny rubber ball with feet until you throw it for her. She is an excellent watch dog and has become a caring mother to the puppy Anya I adopted two yeras ago. She is what makes me wish Min-Pins lived 40 years and why I never want to own another breed of dog.
