Profile: Hi. I am Kelli. I have a Burnese Mountain Dog pup named Comet and also kitty who gives Comet dirty looks, but no longer hisses and poofs up when he is around. He is Very respectful of her most of the time and she'll get over her distrust, if not her disgust. Best of all I have a couple of human children. We have a busy household.

Update: Comet is 3 now and weighs 110 pounds. He is a gentle giant that lets little dogs climb all over him. He just lays there and smiles. Comet is a busy boy. He is true to his breed in that he wants to be with me 24/7. I think in the two and a half weeks that I have had him, he has not followed me a total of five or six times. I seriously wondered if I should have named him Shadow. He has learned to love car rides so long as it means he gets to go. He is extremely bright and learns very fast. He has little interest in retrieving and looks at me when I throw a ball like I'm crazy. "Why did you throw it away?!" None the less he is learning to go get it and...bring it back. He loves naps. He love the kitty from afar. The kitty does not love him in return. He loves shoes and I now have the entire families collective shoes on every high surface I can find. Nobody in our family knows where our shoes are anymore. Comet loves to help me pull weeds, has shown an interest in water, and can sit and is very well behaved. He does tend to learn fast what he cant have and tries to hide his contraband. He has found that doesn't work because I watch him like a hawk. We are working on puppy nipping...an issue worked out in our household...only to find out he thinks extremely young children at the park might be tasty. Since he is a fairly confident and dominant pup and will be a large dog we are starting official puppy training this week. I am a widow as of a year and a half ago, and that loss was devestating to our entire family. Comet has really helped me deal with the new life I am creating for my family. By being an integral part of it and a faithful companion to me.View Profile
I am new to my home today. I am learning all about my home and the other pets and people in it. I sneaked up on the other giant dog while he was asleep and bit his tail! I also checked out the kitty who slapped me.View Profile
