This is Lucy, named in honor of Lucille Ball, my favorite actress and inspiration. I adopted her in December 2008 from the Oktibbeha County Animal Shelter in Starkville, MS where I go to MSU. I was volunteering there (something that's dangerous for me to do as I often walk out with a puppy every time) and as soon as our eyes met I knew I had to take her home to Memphis. She is an absolute character. Of course she chews up everything she comes in contact with and is very stubborn when it comes to house training, but she's learning. She is such a bundle of energy! She loves playing with my chocolate lab/aussie mix, Jade, and my rhodesian ridgeback/pitbull mix, Blue. She is very smart and learned to sit and shake after a few tries; I am hoping to work with her a lot this summer to teach her nice manners on the leash as well as other fun tricks.
