Profile: * New arrival! Info coming soon! My husband and I are currently blessed with five (5) adult pooches: Cleo (around 17 y.o.) - part Elkhound and Chow Chow. Buster (8 y.o.) - Shepard mix of some type. Louie (9 y.o.) - Standard Pooble. Sadie (2 y.o.) who appears to be a Ridgeback and Basenji mix. And Shorty, (2ish) a terrier mix. They are all rescues in one way or another: Sadie, Shorty and Buster are straight from the street, Cleo from a shelter. I inherited Louie from my mom. They are all permanent fixtures on my bed. We love our pooches to the umpteenth! We love all dogs in general, and have rescued quite a few from the street and the wilderness!

Ursa left us on Oct 3, 2011 after a long, and sometimes painful, battle with two forms of cancer. We will forever love and miss our Precious Princess. Rescued from the streets of Phoenix at approximately 10 weeks old in Oct 2001. We had ups and downs with her. She needed serious surgery about once every 3 or 4 years, but it was worth every penny and wouldn't have been any other way. Ursa was very loved, and spoiled (in a good way.) She was my huge (80 lb) cashmere teddy bear baby gurl!View Profile
Today (11/13/2012) was a very sad day. We let Cleo go over the rainbow bridge. It was time. He could no longer function and was not happy about it. We adopted Cleo at 2 y.o. from the Pet Smart/San Diego Co. Animal Control Center around Nov 1997. He had been literally abandoned in the street by his former owner after becoming very badly injured from being struck by a car. Animal Control took him in, performed surgery on his badly broken leg, fixing him up so that he could find a forever home. We knew the instant we saw him that he had to be a member of our family. We can never be thankful enough to have made that decision. Cleo was very loved (and spoiled as his "inner Chow" runs the show as far as he is concerned!) He lived to about 17 y.o. and stole the show where ever he went! Simply put, Cleo Rocked!View Profile
Another street rescue, Buster came to us when he was about 8 weeks old in July 2004. He is now about 8 y.o. and is some type of Shepard mix. My son brought me the puppy that he found wandering the streets, knowing it would be instant love... And it was. Buster was in perfect health and simply adorable. He has been his Momma's lil' bedbug ever since, earning him the nickname Pity Beau. He is very loved, and spoiled. As it should be.View Profile
