We got "Esa" when she was 5 months old in August 2009 from a "rescue". She was very sick. She had a double ear infection, upper resporatory infection and was very skidish, as if she may have been abused. After about three rounds of antibiotics, many many more doctors appointments and lots of love and encouragement from my husband and I, and our teenage daughters she is now a healthy and happy puppy. Esa thinks she is human and often tries to have "conversations" with us. Esa is a Pit Bull mix, but has won the hearts of all our neighbors and has changed everyone minds about what a Pit Bull is. She is smart, loving, kind and gentle. She is amazingly calm and protective around little babies and wonderfully playful with the older kids. Esa is the olny dog we thought we would never have and the love of our lives.
