Digger. The King of Life.

In Loving MemoryIn Loving Memory

This is the Love of My Life, Digger. I brought him with me when I moved from Sweden to the U.S. Diggers mom was a Black German Shepherd and his dad was a Golden retriver. He was the Best Dog Ever and so much more. He was My best friend, my child, my protector, My Everything! Digger was born on Dec 2nd in 1996 and it was Love at first site when we first saw eachother, and we have always been together ever since. Digger was a Loving, Caring, Highly inteligent, Funny, Sweet, Stubborn Dog and Oh Boy did he get to swim in the ocean a lot which he loved to do and always did no matter if we wanted him to do it or not. He Loved Any kind of water really, the lakes or just a little bucket with water and he was in it, lol! :) Digger lived on a farm together with me in Sweden, but also in an apartment for a short time. He Loved playing with cows and horses and he was such a tough dog so they all had huge respect for him. He was very protective over me and I was always very safe having him by my side. I Loved him so dearly and I don't belive in saying "Loved" really, I want to say I LOVE him dearly because I belive that he is still here with us, me and my husband and our other two dogs, one of them was also brough here from Sweden and Digger and she (Fannie) was the best of friends. How do you write about a dog who was everything? What do I write and how do I explaine it to other people who think and feel the same about their dogs? Does other people really understand? I don't have words for how much I Love Digger and having him pass away in my arms was the worst thing that has ever happen to me until today. I woulden't have wanted it any other way though, but the feeling of that I was so helpless was just aweful. There was nothing I could have done and Digger was ready to give up. He was 14 and a half years old, and about 2 years ago he had a huge surgery done. He had a tumor taken out of his abdomen. It had the weight of 7.9 LB!!! We refused to let this tumor kill him, so we took him to such a Wonderful vet and she could take the tumor out and after a while, some healing, Digger was like a puppy again. And that is who he was, a puppy that Loved life! Digger got a breathing problem which was came and went, and we were going to do a surgery on him again this summer but we never made it. He died in my arms outside our house on March 15th, 2011 and to let you all know the details about exactly what happen is way to painful for me to talk about, so I will leave it at this for now. Maybe I will get stronger one day, writing even more, but for now....this is it. My Dear, Dear Digger Bubben!! My GOD How I Love you My Sweetest, Dearest Dog! My Everything!!! Please Know, wherever you are right now that we LOVE YOU SO, SO MUCH and we ALWAYS WILL!! And, Please be around me/us always Digger! Love from all of us Always! Your family For Eternity, Mamma Matte, Daddi Husse, Fannie, Shadow and Muffin.
