Puppy: Delilah Jayne
Profile: about 6 months ago, a friend of mine's dog, who I have loved since she was a puppy herself, got pregnant. One day while I was visiting, I told her that if she gave me a little girl puppy that looked just like her, I would take her home and love her forever, and give her the best life a puppy could ever hope for. About 10 days before she was due, Delilah's mom was attacked by another dog, and she went into early labor. Out of 10 puppies born, only 5 survived, and Delilah was the only girl in the litter. Her mom wasnt too keen on taking care of her pups, and often had to be forced to lay down and feed them. After about 5 weeks, mom completely gave up on them and refused to feed or clean up after them. To make a bad situation worse, one of the neighbor's dogs got parvo (they share a yard!) So my friend told me that I would have to take her home to keep her safe (which I did NOT want to do that early, but I didnt have much of a choice considering the circumstances). So Delilah and her brother Max (who another friend was taking) came home and spent the next 5 weeks with Max's soon to be big brother, who surprisingly cared for them like a 2nd mom! Through many health issues, Delilah has pushed forward in life, and conquered all of the obsticles that life had already thrown at her. She is now almost 5 months old and a picture of perfect health, although she is on the small side. She's the best puppy one could hope for, and I often question who rescued who.

Hello puppy friends! My name is Delilah, and I'm a blue nosed pit bull. My mommy tells me that she got super lucky to have such an awesome puppy. I'm almost 5 months old, but I'm small for my age because I was born a whole 10 days early. Nobody but mommy thought I would even make it, but I did! I know most of my basic commands, even though sometimes I pretend like I can't hear my mommy telling me to do things. I walk well on a leash, and I love EVERYONE, even the cats who don't really want to play with me. I haven't come across one thing that I'm scared of yet in this big world. I play all day with my friend Murphy the pug, and we have such a good time! I also like to go on walks and runs with mommy, and go to the dog park too to play with all the big dogs who are helping mommy teach me manners.View Profile
