This January, after suffering a miscarriage and losing my long-time companion (best friend) schipperke within a week of each other, I adopted Zooey as a puppy from the local shelter. She was listed as a German Shepherd mix on Petfinder and the gentleman at the shelter then told me she was a border collie mix -- so we had her DNA tested and the results were Unknown/Australian Cattle Dog/Chihuahua mix. However, she is a purebred sweetheart and has been a ray of sunshine to my husband and I.
