Profile: I've wanted a dog since I knew what one was. Instead of imaginary friends, I had a menagerie of imaginary animals. My parents on the other hand, were not too excited about my passion for animals. The closest I ever got to having a dog was when my Uncle moved in for half a year with his coy-dog, Red. Finally, the summer after my freshman year in college, I convinced them to let me look for one. My bargaining chip was that they would only have to deal with him for a year, after which I would take him to college with me. They had a lot of rules though. It had to be older, small and a girl. I went to the county shelter to try to meet these demands. What I found was a year old skinny(40 lb) male boxer with sad eyes and a terrible cough. He was adopted and in the car within the hour. Now Henry is healthy, happy and his wiggling butt moves a hundred miles an hour. Best of all, my parents are now dog people :)
