Add to FriendsAbbey Rose is a mini dapple dachshund. Abbey was rescued 6 years ago and has been so happy with her new life! She is the sweetest little girl but the biggest couch potato that you will ever meet. She enjoys spending her days at home in the bed under all the covers or on the couch buried under her 3 queen sized fleece blankets. Abbey loves to be held, her Mom and Dad spoil her so much that Abbey has her own baby sling that Mom wears and Abbey sits in it and falls asleep like a baby and is carried around for hours. What a little baby!
View ProfileFred was born in February 2011. Fred's Mom and Dad brought him home in April to live with them and his dachshund sister Abbey. Fred is the biggest love bug and loves to snuggle, he is also a huge mama's boy, which his mom loves! He is a purebred Basset hound that loves to torment his sister and nap with her on the couch. He has quickly learned that the couch is the best place to be and uses the doggie stairs to help him. Fred also loves to play and be outside. On walks Fred trips over his long basset ears and tries to eat everything! Mom and Dad found out that Fred was born with a birth defect that the doctor called Wobblersâ Syndrome and Fred was going to be paralyzed in a few weeks if this problem was not corrected by surgery soon. Fred had spinal fusion surgery at 5 months old, had to spend 8 weeks in his crate recuperating and he was a trooper! The surgery went well and Fred is back to pretty much normal, still with a little feet dragging (as long as it doesnât get worse, he should be ok). Even after all that he is the happiest puppy you will ever see! Mom and Dad love him so much! He is too cute! Just look at that face!
