Barley's dad says: When we saw Barley's litter all the puppies look lovely, but Barley was the only one who hadn't been rolling in puppy poo. While she looked so big and strong with her brothers and sisters, as soon as we got her home she seemed so small and defenseless, but we're so glad we got her. She has a slight penchant for chewing on consumer electronics whenever we leave her alone, but now that it's the Southern Hemisphere winter she's too busy doing nothing lying in front of the fire. Barley loves people more than any dog I've ever seen, especially if they'll play tug of war with her!

What is a "Golden Labrador"? She looks like a yellow labrador, but I suppose that she could be a cross between a gloden retriever and a labrador retriever. Very sweet in any event.

Barley is to cute for words. We rescued our yellow lab "Babe and I wish we could have gotten her as a puppy, shoe would have looked just like this!
I now have my second Lab, and their propensity to eat anything and everything is the only bad thing about them! Five years ago my black Lab Gus reached way up over the kitchen counter and knocked over an almost full bottle of ibuprofen, crunched the container and ate about 100 pills. He survived and is fine now, but spent six days in the intensive care vet hospital. Thank heaven I had vet insurance, which helped a lot. So try to anticipate what these wonderful but pesky dogs might get into!

My yellow lab is 11 years old now. Someone dumped him at 8 months and I was the luckiest person in the world to find him. He saved my life, my soul, made me live again. Raised my son, raising my nieces, he is the most awesome companion. Barley is so beautiful, I hope she brings you years and years of happiness,
