Baxter was adopted from a rescue foundation after his mother gave birth to him and four sisters only one week after being brought in. Since his mom was a stray, his dad was never seen. So we don't know what breed Baxter is. His mom was a Spitz mix, and we think his dad may have been a husky. Baxter loves to play with ice cubes and paws at everything like he is a cat. He also loves to play with all his puppy friends in puppy class!
love him, love his ears! baxters is such a cute ball of fur.. wish you many many happy years with him...
awww! from the way he sits, looks like he has some shepard in him. I think the major percentage is probably angel!glad he was able to be rescued! take care little guy!
Hey Baxter, can I call you Bax? Love your ears! Yep, you are livin' the good life--keep up the good work.
Baxter i'm in luuuuuuuuurv!!! what a sweet face you have (oh n the cutest butt too :))!! a galaxy of biscuits for you!!!
Baxter is a handsome young man! he's so fluffy and beautiful. sounds like a wonderful pet. Enjoy him and may you have much happiness!
OMG what a sweetheart he is sooo loveable wow he is sooo laid back! he does look a bit like husky!!!!!! so sweet!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Baxter, who cares what kind of a puppy you are, the only thing you need to know is whats for dinner :-), you have a mommy and or a daddy who love you and give you everything you need and want. You are also a very hansom young man. Tons of belly rubs, kiss's and a gajillion cookies to you.
Baxter's adorable. I believe he has some shepherd in him, too. As it's been said, it's not important. Oftentimes, the best dogs are the mixed breed dogs because there's been so much inbreeding among uncaring breeders that some breeds are now having all kinds of problems. So Baxter uses his puppy hands, huh? :o) It's been said that intelligent dogs use their paws to play or do whatever it is that's on their mind at the time. One look at Baxter's eyes and you can tell he's a very smart dog. Baxter, I pray you have a long, happy, healthy life, with much love and joy, and that you live out your many days in sun-drenched playlands among those you love and who love you, in the Name of Jesus. Blessings to you, his mommy and daddy, for rescuing Mister Baxter. The Apostle Paul said we often entertain angels unawares. He didn't say they would necessarily be masquerading as humans... Love to all... :o)
BLESS YOUR HEART!!! You adopted....AND you got a beauty! I'd say....5 seconds...and he stole your heart!??? He did mine and I'm just looking at a photo! Great choice....rescue's are the BEST! And Rescue Mom's & Dad's....even better! Thank you! Smooch that precious pup!
Baxter your a goodlooking guy! All the cookies ie biscuits you will ever need. And Kentucky Jim that was a beautiful prayer! Thank you for that!
Bless you for giving Baxter a wonderful loving home. He sure is a sweetheart, just love him. Lucky lucky you . Baxter many biscuits and belly rubs.
Baxter, you sure are a very playful little boy. Glad you were adopted because you sure look like you have so much love to give.
Baxter you are so adorable! That sweet little face and those eyes just say it all!! Lots of belly rubs and kisses to you!!
i think baxter is gorgeous. so soft and fluffy. he might be part australian shepherd?? or collie? whatever his daddy was baxter is the cutest puppy.
Awwww...Baxter is so adorably cute. He sure looks like a very happy, go lucky fella..Beautiful coloring, and those ears are terrific.
Baxter, you're one cute guy AND a lucky one to have such a good family. Wishing you a long, healthy, fun filled life.
With those ears and the colouring in Baxter's face, he looks like there could be some collie or sheltie in the mix. Maybe some Husky too. Whatever his lineage, Baxter is a beautiful pup. Good luck for many happy years together.
Baxter is just a doll. My Daisy, too, has lots of cat behaviors. Just shows how well rounded they are! May you have many happy years to love each other.
number 1 dog this dog is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!11
Baxter, whatever breed you are, you are adorable. Nice and fluffy with pretty coloring. You look like tons of fun. Be happy in your forever home.
We can only rescue their bodies; They can rescue our souls... God Bless The Dogs, Our Angels! God Bless Baxter for many happy and healthy years with his loving family!
Baxter who cares what you are, you are a very precious puppy and i hope that you and your family have many happy years together. 11 biscuits
Man alive, that Baxter fella' is one handsome little dude! We're all about shelter doggies at this house. We adopted a little girl just before Christmas to discover that she was preggers (surprise!!) and on 23 Jan. '08 she presented us with 7 puppies; father unknown like Baxter's situation. Knew zilch about birth or development as we're also spay and neuter fans so it was a sharp learning curve. We placed all 7 babies in wonderful, forever homes and have followed up on them. This all has to do with not knowing the "daddy" half of the brood ... Momma, now healthy, happy and spayed, weighs 19.2 lb. One of the males now weighs over 50 lb., the other is close and the five girls range from 23 - 50 lb. Momma is a little poodle/spaniel/schnauzer muttley mix, but her babies' appearance is like black lab, yellow lab, german shepherd and one male's coat resembles an Irish terrier. I still shake my head! Bless 'em all. Ontario, Canada
Baxter, you sure are one cute little fluffster. Your family is luck to have you! In this pic you look just like a sheltie mix I had as a kid. Susie used her paws as well. I wish you a long, happy life with your forever family.
The closer you get...in your photos...the cuter you are! So glad your mom had you and your littermates in a safe place and that you now have a great home! Many happy years with your family Baxter :-)
He sure is adorable, his face sort of reminds me of a collie, but as others have said it does not matter what mix he is. Bless you for rescuing him! I agree rescue pups are the best!
Baxter you and your new family as so blessed to have each other. As the lifelong mom of 4 Shelties, 1 Collie and 1 Border Collie,(which are all "cousins" but have only 2 Shelties currently:(, I wonder if he has some Collie in him judging by his nose and the way he tucks his front paw under himself looks just like a natural Sheltie pose. He is gorgeous!
My heart completely melted when I saw Baxter's beautiful face!! I definitely see some Collie/Sheltie, too! Bless you for saving his life...we have rescued five precious mixed babies over the years and they have brought so much joy to our family! Rescue doggies rock!!
Baxter is just adorable. I love fuzzy puppys. Their baby hair is so touchable. Lots of belly rubs and bisciuts for you and Baxter, for bringing him home from a shelter!! Thank you sooo much!!!!
Cuteness personified! He reminds me an awful lot of our collie when he was a puppy. So I'm thinking Baxter has some shepherd in the mix, too. Of course it makes no difference. It's just fun to speculate. But he's definitely 100% adorable. No speculation about that!
cute overload... absolutely adorable! Not sure what breed, the face reminds me of a collie or shetland sheepdog, but it doesn't matter-Baxter you are lovely! Well done for rescuing as well. Have a long and happy life with Baxter. And fluff those ears up as well
What a gorgeous fluffy baby he is.There is so much intelligence in those eyes! He;s going to be a wonderful dog.Congratulations to you and him for finding each other!
Again, SO CUTE! I reckon most rescue pups have a distinctive friendly feel about them. Love muddy_paw_prints from all the way in the UK
Aw... he looks so spunky and sweet! Thank you so much for giving him a wonderful home - I'm sure he shows his appreciation! I hope you live a wonderful, happy life! 11 biscuits!
This is the type of dog I always wanted. He looks to be collie mixed with shepherd maybe, and then perhaps spitz and husky too, then some others... but I think I see lots of collie. :) I hope one day I get a guy like Baxter.
Wahta cutie Baxter is! I hope you have many happy and healthy year together! Lots of love and biscuits to you Baxter!
Thank you for adopting a shelter dog. God Bless you. He is an absolute doll, and I wish good Karma for you & many buscuits for Bax!
Baxter is an absolutely adorable little furball. He's definitely got collie in him; his ears and the way they flop, the markings on his face (the "v" of color on the forehead and the lines going out from his eyes), and the size/shape/and setting of his eyes are classic collie trademarks!
Oh Baxter you are just too CUTE!!! Sooooooo ADORABLE!!!! Many kisses, hugs and biscuits to you PRECIOUS Baxter!!!!
Baxter is such a cute little guy! I can see from his baby pictures in particular how you might think there's some Husky in him, as he has that fluffy baby bear/wolf appearance. Whatever he is, he's adorable...and very lucky that his mother came into good care before he was born and that you adopted him. Long and happy life to you both!
What a sweet little fluffy puppy. So wonderful that you rescued such a winner. Hope his Mom and sisters were lucky enough to find fur-ever homes too!
Very cute puppy! I can see lots of collie in him, not that it matters... Love the name too! Enjoy him and he will always be your biggest fan for years to come
Who cares what his breed mix is?! He is simply too cute for words. I especially love his coloring and the way he plays.
Baxter is very adorable!! Thank you so much for adopting!!! Shelter dogs rock. Baxter looks like he might have some Chow and/or collie in him. Hope you have many happy years with your boy!!!
Awww, Baxter is a love-bug, just an adorable boy! :) And I agree, shelter pups do rock! I love this pic, so darn cute, great name too!
What a baby doll!! The little furball looks like Collie or Sheltie to me!! Doesn't matter in the least! He is adorable!
I hope that beautiful Baxter will have a long and happy life with ya'll. I hope it will be a life of trust, joy and forever love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He looks like a very happy puppy and his pictures are adorable!!!!!!!!!!!
Call me crazy but I see Collie in his lineage somewhere! I like Baxter's smiiile. hehe He looks very sweet~:)
Baxter is absolutely adorable...mixed breed or not, very precious! SOmething about this face reminds me of my Aussies...whatever he is, just enjoy and love him! Hugs and belly rubs and loads of kissesXXX

Aw, such a beautiful mutt!!! Mutts rule! He looks like he's got GSD ears... awesome. Cuddle him for me!! :D
Aren't mixed breeds the best?! They make the most wonderful companions, some of the best watch dogs, and the face on this little guy says he has an old soul. Thanks for adopting this wonderful little guy! Hugs and tummy rubs, and more bikkies than he can eat!
Well, i'm no expert, but i'd say his breed is Collie/Aus.Shep......thats the first thing that popped into my head when i looked at the picture. His face/nose, ears, shape of his body and the shape of his head says collie to me,but the coloring says aus./shep. If you REALLY want to know, have your vet do a DNA test the next time you go in. Otherwise just enjoy your sqooshie-able lovable, ball of fur the way he is. Btw, Baxter is a great name for him, very smart name for a very smart pupster. Baxter here's a truckload of puppy treats and lotsa sqooshie hugs. krymsan 9;s(aka-babydoggie)mama
Baxter, how did I miss you! What's got your attention there buddy? You are going to be a barrel of laughs and fun. PS. You are also adorable! God bless you and your family. Your mission is to bring joy, laughter, loyalty, and do it being oh so cool! I know you can do it!
Baxter you are so cute and fluffy! lucyny2000, I agree with you--they are angels and rescue us!!! Lots of hugs for Baxter and, of course, 11 biscuits!!!
I see some golden retriever in his face. Really does not matter, because he is absolutely gorgeous. He made my morning with those big eyes, and his fluffy fur, and that pink tongue. God I could stare at him all day long. He is one special little guy. You are sooooo lucky that you get to kiss him anytime you want. God bless
Baxter is gorgeous. I definitely detect some Collie in him - either way, he's just too cute and I'm thrilled he was rescued by a loving home.
ma pup was da same when she was small...!!! =) she too is a mixed..!!
