Boo's dad says: Boo and I live in Oklahoma. Two of the pics are of the very day I brought her home. She slept almost all the way home. The other pics are a day or two after I got her home and still had not figured out what to name her. Boo's color is called mantle merle, mantle being the white collar and merle being the grey with black spots. She is very friendly and has never met a person or dog she didn't like. She walks right beside me when I take her for a walk. I take a leash but I never have had to use it. Boo is the best companion a person could have.

Great pup. Beautiful dog. Unless you live in the country with NO CARS and no BAD ANIMALS or people, put that girl on a leash. I never can understand you men who think it's cool not to have your precious pup on a leash. Does it make you more manly not to have a dog on a leash? She is still a dog... and a baby at that. You never know what she'll do if she's startled or sees something that you don't.

When I logged on and saw your beautiful Boo I was shocked. I have a merle/mantle dane, also named Boo, that looks just like your baby! Same coloring, and almost identical markings! I had an acquaintance who had two great danes at one time..in a frikkin condo! she gave them up for adoption after one stepped on her foot and broke her toe, and the other snapped in the face of her grand daughter....I'm glad there are people in this world who know how to handle a dog, and are responsible enough to live in a country setting where they can run free....what a great big girl you have...and yes, please keep her ears...

I can't believe how similar the markings are to my "pound puppy"! He's only about a forty pound dog now that he's an adult but certainly reminds me of Boo, both in appearance and personality.
