Chester the Duck Tolling Retriever
Chester is the most lovable dog ever. He adores the ocean and retrieving anything. He loves to be around people as much as possible and has such a wonderful temperament. And for some strange reason, when you sneeze he'll run up to you and make sure you're okay. This is our second Novia Scotia duck tolling retriever, and there's a reason for it! Duck tollers have all the qualities of a golden retriever but don't get quite so large in size. This time round, we decided on the puppy in the bunch with slightly different features from our last duck toller. Chester has a darker nose and less white markings on his nose and forehead than the average duck toller, which makes him all the more special!
He is sooooh gorgeous. I have a standard Golden and as you say they are the most loveable, loyal and friendly dog. Happy days with your new little friend, wishing you many years of love andf fun together xxx

Chester is beautiful! I have never heard of this breed untill now. Golden retrievers are so loyal and kind, so I'm sure Chester will grow up to be a very giving dog. best wishes for the future! xxoo

I first met a toller during a "dock dogs" cpmpetition. That little girl just loved to jump off the dock and into the water. I fell in love with the breed right then! Your little guy is gorgeous and looks like an absolute charmer. The white marks on his paws are so cute. Give him belly rubs and kisses and lots of biscuits.

I have no idea what it means to toll a duck, but obviously it requires all kinds of cuteness. When I read "Chester is the most lovable dog ever," I was skeptical," but when I read how he checks up on you when you sneeze, I had to admit, my Precious and Obi-Wan have some serious competition in the lovability arena (though they're not about to admit defeat yet!). Kisses, cuddles, and maximum biscuits for this sweetie!
I have never heard of this breed but I LOVE IT. Chester you stole my heart as soon as I saw you. He looks inquisitive (sp) in every picture, like he is up for anything. Wish I could pet those fluffy ears all day long, and then snuggle up with him for a long nap. He is so snuggly. Give him a kiss on that beautiful face for me please. God Bless.
Oh, Chester !!! You're handsome. I tried to adopt one of your cousins a while back. The rescue facility wouldn't let anyone outside their "service area" have a dog. Silly rule, cause I sure was in love with him and would have provided a perfect home. Oh well... I'm glad to see your breed represented here. Wishing you a long, happy fun filled life. This is my first introduction to the breed as well, and I must say, Chester is a real cutie! I love the color of his fur. I bet he looks adorable all wet after a swim too. Lots of biscuits and belly rubs to you Chester!!

Nice Toller. I've owned a Golden and currently have two Tollers. Tollers are a great family or working dog but are a lot higher energy than Goldens. Have fun with him.
