Coda the Goldendoodle
Coda's dad says: After much research we decided a goldendoodle was a perfect match for our family, and Coda has not let us down. He is such a joyful, confident pup! We have been in the process of socializing him these past few weeks and nothing much seems to scare him. He has been on jeep rides, boat rides, town festivals -- you name it. He has been pretty much potty-trained since we got him home. He has never cried through the night, and at 11 weeks he is able to "hold it" all night, although he does wake up at 5:45 a.m. ready for potty and play. He is already a pro at playing fetch and he loves to stalk his toys and hunt for ice cubes in the kiddie pool. Whenever he passes by our full-length mirror he pauses and looks at himself, sometimes to bark or sometimes just to check out the other dog on the other side of that glass. Every time he takes a nap, we think he grows a few inches!
What a sweetie pie. I love the pool and ice cube story. Give the little one a big nose kiss and belly rub for me please.

He's so cute! He looks just like my mini golden doodle Atlas! I swear everytime he wakes up he also is a ton larger. Have fun with your sweetie :o)

I am at a loss for words. This pup is too cute. I saw a goldendoodle in town the other day and want one really bad!! I love the pic of his paw in the air, and of course the one of him upside down. It is like he knows how cute he is and is posing. Like when he walks by the mirror and says, "yeah I still got it!".

I have a sorta dumb question -- why do they call them "goldendoodles?" I can see where the "golden" and the "oodles" come from, but the extra "d" always confuses me. I think they should be called "goldenoodles." ;)

To answer some of your questions:
Jessica picked his name because it is a musical term (she is a musician).
He should not shed too much, but you can't really tell until he gets older.
Coda was expensive because his parents were certified healthy and free of genetic problems, and he was raised well. They're not all expensive if you look around.
Coda is technically a mini Goldendoodle. His mother was a Golden Retriever and his father was a Toy Poodle. He will probably grow to about 25-30 lbs.
He was about 8 weeks old in these pictures. He's about 11 weeks now.
It is very difficult to pick a fave pic of this huggable, cuddly, adorable Coda. I picked this one because he looks so full of life. Hugs and kisses.
I know its been said before, but, what a wee cutie pie! Coda is a doll...I grew up with a number of dogs, but one was a golden retrivier named Retsina (but everyone called her Rex?!? go figure) and she was just the smartest dog - she could open the gate and let all the dogs out! OMG, that is the cutest puppy I have seen in awhile. I have never heard of a goldendoodle before, but they are adorable! How big will he get?
These pictures are identical to when my dog Coy was a puppy. Its always been a guessing game as to his mix but, his groomer is sure he is a golden doodle and we were sure he would be a golden when we got him at 8 weeks old. He stop growing at 37lbs. How big id Coda supposed to get?
Oh my! Cute pup. My neighbor has one of these, she never dreamt she would get as big as she did. She started out looking like a cute little toy breed, and ended up a big funny looking curly haired retriever. They are large dogs, and not many large breeds are hypoallergenic, so that is the attraction to this new hybrid. Giant poodles are large and hypo though. Hence the doodle half of this breed, I guess they want nicer giant poodles so they mix them with goldies?? I dunno...
Coda is the most (well, second most) adorable puppy i have ever seen. coda looks kinda like my new puppy Maddy, but she is full toy poodle. Coda's parents must be so proud!

A sweetheart. I have a goldendoodle as well make sure you watch out for health problems as he grows. My Tucker is one of six in my vet office and all but mine have health problems. My Tucker even ruptured his appendix. I wouldnt trade him for the world and yours looks as sweet as mine. Have many years of love and puppy kisses.
He is sooo cute!!! I wonder what he'll look like when he gets older...more golden like he does now or more poodle. I'd love to get one of these cuz I am allergic to dogs, but my big fear is that I would end up being allergic to them. He is soo cute!!! Best of luck!!! :)

Cutest puppy I have seen on this site!!! I know several labradoodles and a goldendoodle - never a miniature - but they are all great dogs. Congratulations on buying from a reputable breeder, and on your super puppy!
