Davie's mom says: Davie Jones is new to our house by only two weeks. We got him from a very nice breeder in Arizona and have been able to visit him since he was two weeks old. He is very friendly, charming, and loves to play games. He is very smart and has already learned to sit and fetch. He doesn't like to be told "no" though, so his will is very strong. Davie is a bird dog and has already started pointing and stalking his toys. It is very cute and we can hardly keep from laughing. We named him Davie Jones after his father, Indiana Jones, and he is the dark red color of his mother. He was one of only two and we are very lucky to have him.

I LOVE Davie Jones!!!!! What a sweetheart. I'm sure you will have a few "arrrrghhh" moments (pirate reference), but those are the times that you will laugh about when he is all grown up and a perfectly behaved boy. Hugs and ear scritches to Davie Jones.

Davie is adorable as are all Vizslas.....we purchased our first in 2005, a boy, from California, this year we purchased a sister, born in January....they have same dad, different mom. Yes they do not like the word no and are strongwilled...but they are great dogs...the Dog Whisper would not approve...but they are our kids...they sleep with us....they are a part of our family...Jake, the oldest definitely started with stalking birds early...Zoe the 4 month old has a different personality....she just jumps into the pool w/o hesitation, Jake took ayear to learn and now won't go in because Zoe intimidates him...she has become Queen...Good luck and many blessings with Davie.....

I knew a family with two Vizslas when I was growing up. They were such athletes! Always loved the sleek coat and muscled bodies.
Davie is just about the most precious puppy...I love his lips! When I read Davie Jones, I wasn't thinking pirate, I was thinking the Monkeys! Here we come....walking down the street....get the funniest looks from everyone we meet. Hey, hey we're the Monkeys! If you remember them, you know that Davie Jones was the cutest one.

Wow! What a wonderful species. I have never heard of this type bird dog but my husband (the retired bird hunter) has. We have a GSP & he looked, except for color, so much like that when he was a puppy. He too does not like the word "No" & will pout sometimes when he does not get his way but he is such a loyal, joyful pet. Many years of joy with yours.

People please...I know you mean well. BUT try and adopt/rescue from shelters and resue organizations. There are so many incredible dogs that are being euthanized every minute because people keep breeding. It takes homes away from the already living doggies lanquishing in shelters. Davey is beautiful but then so are all doggies!

I have never commented on here before although I look at the pups every day, but your Viszla is so cute it's ridiculous. I have researched this breed and will rescue one as my next dog. Right now I have a Pitador (Pittie/Labrador mix) that I saved from a high kill shelter in Ft Lauderdale. I would not trade her for the world, but your puppy is awesome. Enjoy him!
i love davy jones, i have a visla also he's a wonderful dog, very smart and lots of energy. he started pointing at our other dog when he was 5 weeks old. when he's an adult his fur, eyes and nails will all be the same color. lots of love to davy.
