Duke the Labrador Retriever
Duke is the newest addition to our family. He's all ears and feet right now, but he's slowly growing into them. He loves chewing his nylabone and tackling his big "sister" Tyra. Duke doesn't ever get in a hurry to do anything except when he does the "Duke dash". When we see him sprinting around the house like a runaway locomotive, we know he has something he's not supposed to have. This is known as the "Duke dash" in our home.
All of Dukes pictures are adorable. He is a very sweet puppy and I hope ya'll have many happy years with him! Duke is very beautiful and please give him lots of pets from me!

Mr. Duke, you are a very good looking little boy, don't worry about the ears and feet, you will grow into them, and tell your mommy and daddy that sometimes it is a good thing to get into trouble, it is just like being a little child, in fact, you are a little child, just shows your normal. love this picture, i thought my puppy, a yellow lab, was so unique when he did this. But I found out a lot of puppies like to sit this way. LOVE IT. I am sure Duke's family knows this, but the picture with the mushroom prompted me to write and remind everyone that wild mushrooms can be FATAL to humans and pets. A dog in my community recently died from eating a mushroom in his backyard and his broken-hearted family went on the local news to try to raise awareness so other families don't lose their beloved pets this way. It is an adorable pic however, love the way he's staring at it up close!

Duke's the picture of contentment here. I love all dogs but some breeds just ring my bell more than others and the labs are one, especially the black lab. Duke's a handsome charmer and smart, to boot. "The Duke Dash"- that's funny. Our Harvick does what one would call "The Harvick Dash", then, tearing around the house like he's blown some kind of mental circuitry or something but usually, he's just trying to get Tweeder, the larger of our two kitties, stirred up enough to start playing with him, and when he does, it's all hissing and growling from Tweeder as Harvick roars by him close enough to get swatted by Tweeder. Animals are a trip, aren't they? God has, indeed, blessed us all through our animal friends. Duke, I pray you have a very long, happy and sunny-day life, with good health and a full tummy, a big place to cut loose and run like crazy, lots of people and doggy friends and, most of all, lots of kissies, hugs, side-tickles and love from those who have the privilege of you being in their lives.
