Loaf's dad says: Loaf is our eight-week-old mini dachsie that is boundless and playful... for about ten minutes. Then he crashes and likes to nap for 30 minutes or so. He is extremely respondent and affectionate. My wife and I love him and are excited he's part of our family.

In case you were unaware, Loaf is the shortest thing in the world. I spit water all over myself when I saw the legs on this dog. Good grief.
I could pretty much eat him with a spoon. It wouldn't even have to be a big spoon! I could use a very small spoon to eat this baby doggie. If it were my dog, I would never leave my home. Actually, to be more accurate, I would never leave the floor where I would be prostrate, laughing myself sick at the cuteness.

Loaf has got to be the most original name I've ever heard, and it is so appropriate. I laughed and laughed. I've never thought much about mini-dachsunds since I've always heard dachsunds, in general, were irritable and snippy. Now, however, having seen this piece of sunshine and reading that he is affectionate, I just might have to look into adopting one myself. Hope you all and Loaf have many years of happiness together.

Fluffy lady who loves tekels is late seeing your treasure who is now larger, but not so much! I had a standard long-hair who was mellow with a streak of stubborn is something really was important; I have the same trait! We were 'gifted' with a Pembroke Corgi who is NOT a dachshund! I like her, but not like your Loaf! Incurable dachshund fancier!
Oh, yes! Late Fluffy Lady learned the hard, painful for both of us, to keep those dolls off the furniture or teach them to use steps or stools! I had Hunter in LSU vet school for 3 weeks, a week at home, back for emergency surgery that resulted in my having him put down. One more OH YES! Harnesses are the only way to walk with these dogs! No pull on those cervical vertibrae! Much joy to you 3!
