Nessie the Westie
Nessie's mom says: Nessie (or 'Ness'), was named after the Loch Ness Monster (Westies are from Scotland). She was a Christmas present, and was about 7 weeks old when we got her. She's doubled in size (and energy) since then, and loves to chew on people's socks. She's a bundle of energy and is always the life of the party. She is getting brave enough to jump off the couch, and doesn't really know what to make of snow. When confused (or ready to play), she can be characterized by her tiny (but meaningful) bark and wobbly scamper.

Nessie is adorable! I have a westie too, and she's an individual with a loud bark. No one gets to the house unannounced with a westie around. My girl is called Maisie.

Awwww . . . she doesn't look monstrous at all!!!! ;-) Well, maybe monstrously adorable -- Nessie is one sweet little white fluffball. But why no pictures with snow? (She does seem fond of leaves, however.) Biscuits, scritches, and kisses for Nessie!
Nope - I sure don't see any "monster" in that little sweetie. She seems to be very inquisitive tho and learning all about her wonderful new world.

Nessie, is too cute and in typical Westie style very curious. Be careful with the socks, if she chews fabric and by chance swallows it she could get blocked up. Substitute hard rubber toys instead, like Kong toys. virtually indestructible and lots safer. I speak from experience about the socks.

My terrier is known as "the leaf girl" because she's always dragging leaves into the house on her whiskers, her belly or her legs. Shanti is still bringing in leaves at 19 years of age. Nessie apparently has an affinity for leaves, too! I hope you have as many wonderful years with your lovely leaf girl.

Way too cute for our own good this little one is! What a sweetheart. I surely hope you post grown up pictures. I love Westies to bits, having been staff to one for 14 years. I am hoping to be able to get another one within the next few months although it will be a grown up from a rescue this time. Did the Westie puppyhood thing and am too old for that now! Enjoy and cherish this precious baby. People (including me) used to say my dog was spoiled and my husband would say back," if she gave nothing back in turn, yes she would be, but she gives back so much more so she is not spoiled" Westies are just bundles of love and so cute that discipline will be hard.

So clean and white! My Westie ,Rosie ,is only this colour for about an hour after her bath (if I keep her indoors that long) the rest of the time she is white with a tint of brown! Have many joyful years with Nessie who gets the biscuit max of course. Very Best Wishes from Spain.

Westieeeeeeeee! She's so beautiful - I just love that one of her peering over the step... We have one who is now six months old - you're in for some fun and games!!! Very willful little pups with a total grasp of what is acceptable in Westie World (which is not always acceptable in human world!) You'll have a great time though. So cute, so loving, so curious, so sweet. And their feet smell great when they are asleep - who could ask for more? Enjoy!

She is ADORABLE! I have had three Westies - Frisco, McGuire and now a rescue Westie, Cash. They are absolutely the best. They are sometimes too smart for their own good. Enjoy years of happiness with her!

What a precious gift she is .. .. it reminds us vividly of June, 2000, when we got our Westie (Darcy) at same age of 7 weeks .. .. 8 years of fun and joy ever since .. .. the same wish for you, AND many more.
