Portia is the sweetest dog. She has a wonderful demeanor. She has a slew of nicknames, including Portia D'Rottie, P-Dog and Big Mama. Her absolute favorite toy is a ball of any kind or any size. Coming in at a close second is her Kong. She loves being outside. We think her goal in life is to fit as many toys as possible into her mouth. She has a doggie boyfriend named Sampson (a Labrador mix) and they see each other at least once a week. Although she is quite a lady, she farts and burps like a grown man. Portia loves car rides, walks on the beach and sitting by the fire, chewing a stick. She loves to give kisses and wags her tail when she dreams.
Looks like She is up to something, but She has a very sweet face!!! I give her lots n lots of bones because one just isn't enough.
Pure joy is what I see in this picture. Look at that sweet face! We knew a rottie once who loved vegetables and tore up her mom's garden and ate all her snap peas. Have fun with your adorable girl, she looks very spoiled already :)
What a wonderful photo - it's still got me giggling! What a shame Rotties have had a bad press - from all your photos they look pure fun.
You may think it is funny whn Portia farts ans burps but it is a sign that she has abdominal distress, and I am sure she doesn't think it is too funny. I suggest that you change her food to President's Choice Meaty Lamb and Rice dog food. t is not expensive and you will notice a difference in about two weeks and if you don't I suggest that you see your Vet. Sincerely, QBSue.
"It's a dogs life" Portia, you look like a wonderful little girl. Plenty of tummy rubs and cuddles and kisses, please.
AAARGH!!! Couldn't really pick a favorite!!! But man, she melts my heart! I love Rotties too! Portia D'Rottie is just the total heartbreaker/ heartmelter - you know what i mean! Many kisses to Portia! Also, may you have many many more car rides, walks to the beaches, sitting by the fires, eating, farting, burping, sleeping and loving! With love from Bangalore!
She looks like she's saying, "Well, here I am guys! Are you happy now?!" She's a beautiful puppy. I love the description of the farting! It's funny because our dog Penny farts and not the male. Maybe it's a female thing--IN DOGS?!
I simply could not decide which photo to pick. This one looks like she's thinking, "Look, I'm workin right now, could ya give a girl a minute." Totally a cutie. I love rotties and I'm believing your going to be one of those owners who raise a great one! Be blessed by God!
Oh, and love her name, and make sure you never, never run out of treats for this sweet thing. I mean really... just look at that precious face. I could just smooch her!
Love this pic, it made me laugh out loud. It was hard to pick only one because she is just so darn cute! Congrats on a beautiful girl and many years of happiness.
Is there anything cuter than a Rottie pup? She looks like quite the character and I wish you many years of joy with her. :)
Portia is such a cutie! I can tell she is loved very much! Can't wait to see what a beautiful (and big) dog she will grow to be!
Talk about a hard time choosing which photo I like the best - they're all gorgeous!!! Wishing you many years of hugs, kisses, doggy biscuits and wonderful times with your very lucky owners!!! xoxoxo
Portia - I was having a bad morning, but seeing your pictures has put a smile on my face. I'm sure you keep your family happy & on their toes. Many biscuits & belly rubs to you. I wish you a long & happy life. Stay sweet!
This is my favorite breed. They are good with kids! She reminds me of my sweet lady Suga! Look at that face, soooooooo cute. What mother couldn't love a face like that :-)
What a lady! She is something very precious!! I just love Rottie's and just found out that our lab was probably mixed with one and seeing your pics their are alot of similar qualities. I like this pic b/c she looks as if she's saying "my ball, it's not time to go in yet"! Many wonderful years with Portia from Erie, PA!
OH she's SO SWEET! Rottweilers are the best dogs :D Here's to many years of love and fun with your beautiful girl!!
What a happy pup! Reminds me of our Rottie when he was a puppy! Enjoy her-Rotties are great dogs, it's too bad they have been given a "bad rap"
now THAT is not only a sleepy head, that is the most comfortable chilled out littlebaby clearly pooped from the busy goings on in a baby pups life, chewing, eating, poopin running.all worthy of a good snooze!!what a babe.enjoy!x
You want me to walk with this thing pulling me? Seriously, though, she is so sweet! I have to agree about her diet, someone once told me about the lamb and rice and I switched over for my dog and trust me, it works! When I switched to something other than the lamb and rice she had some gas again....many bones for her and belly rubs!
Would you Please... Get that camera off me. Lol. She is beautiful! I would love to have one just like her. I love the story picture best but couldn't figure how to comment it. THAT is a beautiful picture of her. I love her smile....
She is precious!!!! I love rotties! They are beautiful, sweet dogs. Great with kids too. Give her lots of love and affection! Here's a hug and some biscuits from Pittsburgh, PA.
That is the greatest happy puppy face!! She just perked up my morning! All the pix are great - especially those sleepy-head ones! Looking at those paws, she's gonna be one big, beautiful lady! She's already a gorgeous girl. Lucky folks - have lots of love and tail wags for years and years!!
OMG!!! What an adorable Precious Princess (with capital P's, no less!) I had the hardest time choosing a pic. Simply gorgeous...
Hey, Portia, let us in on the joke! Or myabe you aren't laughing at a joke--maybe you are just very happy that you are so cute and sweet!
Portia, your name suits well as you are so beautiful (and a little temptress too!) Rottie's are such wonderful dogs, just watch "The Dog Whisperer" it's Cesar's favourite breed. I'm sending you many, many puppy bones and big hugs.
Aww! I love the extreme nose-nap closeup. So cute! All of the pictures are great! Portia is adorable!
She's wonderful! My last dog was a rottie and I miss him terribly. I agree w/the person that made the comment about the food. Eliminating corn from the diet is usually very helpful. I wish you many happy years!
First of all Portia is beautiful and a great poser. She sounds like such a happy girl. I, too, must agree that her diet is making her gassy. You need to find a diet that agrees with her. Lamb and rice could help a great deal. You need to eliminate corn and byproducts. Hugs, kisses and a box of good biscuits from Kansas.
"Who me?" That seems like what she is saying. I have a female Rottie-Lab mix and she looks like a rottie only she is 24 inches tall. And spoiled rotten. But so sweet, too. Lots of hugs and kisses for your sweetie!!
Being that gassy must be a Rottie thing. My parents' Rottie could put most men to shame. He would even scare himself with some of his farts. I love this picture. I can't stop laughing. She is so cute!!! Her sleeping pictures are just adorable also. I want to give her a big hug!!!
Portia, I don't know who had the heart to give this puppy less than 11 biscuits, but you are the cutiest big pup! My big doggy wears a pink collar too!
Wow, Portia, I had a tough time picking a fave picture of you! The sleepy-time ones with your little puppy toes showing are precious, but I really love this big puppy smile! Enjoy your new family!!
Esther (my rottie) sends greetings (and lots of biscuits) to Portia!! Rottwei lers are my favorite breed!! Portia is SO CUTE!!! I think all rotties must be gassy (I've had 3 and all were). Esther eats a combo of Lamb & Rice and Hills Canine CD prescription. She developed chronic systitis as a puppy and the vet put her on the CD. The Lamb & Rice is a close formula so I started mixing the two. She's still gassy. But...the food plus the cranberry capsules I give her each day keep away the systitis. Portia is gorgeous and I hope you have a long, wonderful life together!! Btw... balls are my Esther's fave toy, too!
I am in love with P-dog! I also had a tough time picking a favorite picture, but in the end, the goofiness of this picture got me. Portia, you are a beauty! Keep up the farting and the burping...at least in the privacy of your own home (every lady does).
A gassy girl after my own heart!! :) I have never seen a Rot puppy before, so this is quite exciting!! Such a big girl in that little puppy body lol. I love her!!
that is one happy puppy! My mastiffs are gassy too...one person here suggested getting a food w/out corn as the main ingredient which will help...and also, what helps my girls the most, just a dallop of plain fat free yogurt on their food. The natural bacteria and cultures in yogurt help eliminate the gas. Many happy years to you and your beautiful girl!
A picture that can make you laugh out loud first thing in the morning is precious indeed. I think rotties are one of the most beautiful breeds and your pup is adorable!

There is nothing like a sleeping puppy. If I were in the same room, I'd be sound asleep by now. Precious.
Thanks for all the great comments, Portia loves all the kind words! As for her toots and burps... they are far nd few between... just that when it happens... you know! It's def a rottie thing! Her diet is healthy, and she is kept nice and trim. Dick Van Patten's Ultra Premium kibble is fed twice a day yogurt is mixed in some mornings, and chicken broth some eves... Sh loves it and her health and coat show it :)
I found this picture to be quite adorable since I work in the dental field. If only all of the patients were this good.
Precious little angel! What a joy she must be. Enjoy her. Blessings on you all for a long, happy, healthy life. Lots of those tummy rubs and kisses! XOXOXO
Oh, MY Goodness! That is the face of pure innocence! She is beautiful! How could you NOT give her a billion biscuits!?
What a precious, precious puppy. She's beautiful. I just want to squeeze her. I love those eyes. A million biscuits for you Portia.
Portia, you are too much, my mommy says your description reminds her a lot like me, I am a small black lab who is very loving as well. XoXo.
What an angel. I love her! She seems like she's got everything anyone could ever hope for in a puppy (bodily sounds included!). I loved all her pictures. It was really hard to pick just 1 fave.
She wags her tail when she sleeps - too cute! I love her nicknames too! She sounds like a lot of fun.
what a beautiful baby!!! This pic had me laughing out loud! I love Rotties . . . They look mean but they are gentle giants. Had one a long time ago, and he was such a great dog! I wish you many happy years with Portia. By the way . . . GREAT NAME!
I cannot, I repeat i cannot! ppick the fav picture! All of the above this one are my favorites! Love the Rotties, one day I am going to have one, it is going to be a girl! God, you are so lucky to have this one, she is an absolute! A truck of biscuits for a long and healthy life together! God Bless!
"See - I told you I DIDN'T eat that cat!" She is adorable - and that's saying a lot on my part since I feel intimadated by Rots. A co-worker years ago had one who was psycho and possessed by the Devil I'm sure - ever since then I have not been able to overcome the fear that he instilled in me. Wish I could meet this pretty girl - looks like she just might be able to change my mind with her sweetness. Best wishes to Portia and her family for many happy and healthy years together!!!
Such a sweet little face!!!!
