Rio was the product of two Merles that accidentally bred. We thought that he might have some hearing problems because of it, but it turns out that he is perfectly healthy. We got Rio when he was nine weeks old. We were his fourth family in that short period of time. We thought that it was horrible that he had been passed around so much at such a young age. We already had three dogs but had the room and time for one more. He has such a great personality. He has never met a person or animal that he did not like. He also has no fear whatsoever, a trait that sometimes gets him into trouble. We are very happy to give him a home.
He has such a happy face! Look.. he's smiling in almost every picture :) Rio is so lucky to have wonderful parents with a big heart to bring him in... and his smiles just show how happy he is to be alive! Lots of hugs and bones to Rio :)
How could anyone give up this beautiful pup? How sad he had so many homes but how great he is in a loving home now.good on his family.
What a sweetie-pie little guy! I'm so glad he's found loving arms at last, and I just know his new brothers and/or sisters will shower acceptance on him enough to more than make up for his early closed doors!
Looks like he's tryin' to dance for joy over his furever family in this shot. What a cute pupperboyo! Congrats.
Rio is OBVIOUSLY overjoyed to have a permanent home. I'm like you, how could some people do that to this little fellow? OMG he is precious! Two of my merles accidentally bred once. 3pups were perfect, one was deaf, but she was taken by some lovely people who absolutely adore her. They said she took over the "pack" of adult dogs already living with them. So what if there are some not perfect animals....there are certainly lots of not perfect people!! Rio is fabulous and I hope you have many year of joy with him. What a face!! Many hugs, belly rubs, kisses and biscuits to this little rascal! XXXX
You never have to be sad again Rio, you have a wonderful home now. Go spoil your family which is what Aussies do!! xx
Comment to under dog.....Rio is called a RED MERLE ....a mix of red/copper/white and maybe some brown.
Rio is so cute and I am bias as I have a Tri-color whom I adore as well as my other dog. Enjoy and they love frisbee!!
We were his fourth family in that short period of time. - folks with no patience? Or who know nothing about the breed? He's so cute!
Would you look at that face? I mean, what IS it about Aussies and those markings? And those beautiful eyes?
I'm so glad such a beautiful pup has finally found a loving and understanding home. Thanks for being a dog lover. May you have many happy years together.

What a cutie! In this picture, it looks like he's learning a new dance step. :) Sure glad to hear he's found a good home. Lucky little guy AND lucky you.
Rio is beautiful and looks like a sweetie too! One thing I wondered - he looks as if he has photosensitivity, or a little problem with his eyes. Just wondered if that needed to be checked because we want him to be happy and comfortable in his great new home.
How can anyone, nevermind 3 families, give this baby doll away. He is the essence of cute. I am so glad he is able to settle down with you guys though, a family who really wants him and will give him so much love. He is so handsome and just adorable. Making me laugh out loud here. God Bless you all.
What a cutie. I just wanted everyone to know that you should not feed your pet grapes. A friend of mine lost one of her dogs due to kidney failure. Her vet told the kidney failure could have been caused by her dog eating grapes.
What a precious little man you have there. His coloring is magnificent! I wish you many years of blessed health and lovins for you and yours.
Four families?!? Appalling!! How could anyone not want to keep Rio? What a little sweetie, and what fab markings -- many, many scritches to him (and his siblings)!

If you had this baby with you for 10 minutes how could you let him go? Look how totally darling he is? Some people are just plain stupid. I'm glad you found space for him in your home. You are good people and Rio is a lucky pup, and I know you are lucky people to have him! Cookies for everybody!!
Rio is so sweet. We just adopted Babyruth Hogan (added her to the Dailypuppy just yesterday) She is 2+ years old and we love her so much. Have fun with this baby - he is amazing.
Wow!! What a cutie and also a very pretty dog. His markings are remarkable. He also has very nice fur!
"What a silly little goose", I thought to myself looking at Rio's beautiful smiles. It is a shame that some of the best dogs have to go through so many hands and homes before they found the right one, but i am happy Rio found yours, and you sound to have a big heart! You have enough experience with gogs to know he found the way to you for some special reason, and he will pay you back with his lifetime commitment of heart full of love! God Bless people like you!
Rio is special. He is adorable. We have an blue merle aussie about the same age and he too, is fearless. We call him our little bulldozer! It looks like Rio is home now so have a great time with hime...he is a special puppy!
Why in the world would ANY one pass on this gorgeous creature? Thank you for having the time, room and love to devote to him. I know you won't ever be sorry. He certainly is handsome, and I think he must love the camera too. xoxo
