Taz is three months old and we've had him since he was seven weeks old. We have a 10-year-old Labrador who is enjoying having a little brother. Taz loves to chase things, play tug of war, and explore. He is smart and very curious. We are having so much fun with this puppy!
Are we sure "enjoying" is the right word to describe Taz's brother's feelings? ;-) I'm sure, deep down, he loves Taz -- how could anyone, canine, human, or otherwise, not love him??
Mates! Great photo and beautiful dogs. And Taz, you've got my heart. Much happiness and enjoy your lovely addition!
What a wonderful way to start the day, seeing that precious face. Sure put a smile on mine. :) I can almost smell his puppy breath!
Your LAB....is the one that should get all the love and attention......what a beauty to accept and adore baby brother TAZ! Love...love....love.... !!!
Taz--"NOM NOM NOM" Lab bro--"I have the patience of Jobe" Beautiful pup. I adore Aussie babies. He reminds me so of my dearest Cardigan girl(1987-2003). Have a blessed, long serving of delight with that cutie.
I Love this baby. I hope you have many years with Taz. I am waiting for my Australian Shepherd puppy to be born, hopefully today.
Taz does your friend tase like chicken. Why are you doing this to your friend. You can not bite other dogs. Love you Taz.
Taz you are just too cute for words!! Just adorable! It's obvious your older brother loves you too!!
Taz you are a sweetie, Lots of happy years together with your family and your big brother , Many biscuits and belly rubs
What a cute, furry, fuzzy lovely little guy. Your friend seems to have unbelievable patience with your puppiness! Biscuits and bellyrubs from Pam in Toronto.
Oh my goodness! He is just adorable and his older brother is just beautiful. Both very nice breeds! Lots of love for the years to come :D
Taz looks like a little angel in this picture -- but the other photos show another side!!! Looks like his older bubba is his favorite chew toy. What a cutie pie you have. Looks like he will be keeping you on your toes!
I can see why he stole your heart. What an adorable photo of him with his new best friend, too. Cherish every moment with him!
What a sweet and fluffy face! My son wants one of these Aussies so badly, and when I see photos like this I don't have to wonder why! Good luck and many happy years)))
aww hes adorable. right now we do not have a dog [we live on a busy street] so i like going on puppy websites and looking at all the cute puppys.
This looks like fun for one of us and much patience for the other! Gotta love those sweet older dogs AND the pups.
Whoaaaaa Taz plays rough, lol...your Lab is so tolerant of his little bro....dogs are the greatest addition to anyone's home.....
It was a tough choice on the fav pic, but angel pie face always wins out over the lil' devil! Taz is just soooooo adorably smoochable!
Taz says: "I know I should be herding sheep, but you're the only thing around I've got, so get moving, bud."
ooooo hes soo cute! i have an austrailian shepherd whos 7 yrs. old and I can remember when he was Taz's size. Have fun with your puppy!!! (:
Oh my gosh, when I got my puppy, my 10 year old lab had this look on his face for a year! Taz is adorable, enjoy both of them!
Taz is SO cute and "Big Brother" is obviously patient and sweet. That is a lovely canine family you have!
Hey! I own Skip, todays Grown Up Puppy, i came by to say hi to the puppy of the day and well, he is adorable!!!!
Oh, how many times I have seen this picture in my house. I call my aussies the fighting hippos, because they are always NOMing on each other. :) He's precious :D
I love this pic, it looks like he spotted something to chase. Taz is a cutie pie. Thanks for sharing him with us.
Absolutely beautiful coloring and eyes. Usually they aren't brown like Taz's. You know these dogs are #1 on the doggy IQ scale right there with Border Collies....just no tail! I love the brown in his face.
This is one patient sibling! God bless you both and your wonderful family. Many happy healthy years with these two fantastic specimen's.
When I brought home my chocolate pup I had a 10 year old shepherd. She wasn't so happy but patient she was - every time the little brown tornado wanted to play with her, on her, over her...Your pup is adorable and your lab is beautiful.
Wow! We can relate to this picture. Our rescued Tasha, a big strong mixed breed has put up with sooo much rough play from little sister and Aussie Abbey. Completely understand calling Taz! Oh...you have your hands full with this very intelligent breed! Enjoy it all!
This is one of the more beautiful Australian Shepherds I've ever seen, and I live next door to a breeder. :P His face is so soft, and his coloring is just gorgeous. Enjoy your little bundle of fluff, I'm sure he'll grow up to be a perfect companion.
Taz is a beauty. I'm surprised to see so many Aussies on Puppy of the Day. I had one in the 1970's and they were pretty much only known in the horse owning community. Mine was Cowgirl and she was one smart dog. Hope your little guy gives you many years of happiness.
What beautiful marking this little guy has!...and that FACE.....oh how lovely.Looks like he is a clever little lad...enjoy him, but don't let him eat his older brother! Lots of hugs and biscuits! xxx
Although he looks innocent- I'm sure he's a whirlwind-just like his name... Enjoy this cute little guy!
Absolutely adorable!! Aussie's have always been my favorite breed. I had Jasmine for 14 wonderful years. I now have 2 Aussies, Boots & Luna. Taz is precious, & big brother is the definition of patience. God Bless them both , and all puppies everywhere. Reen53
Taz is too adorable, as I'm sure you already know! You must have such fun with your two beautiful dogs. May you all have many happy years to love each other!
This is just TOO precious!! I love that they love each other so much. Belly rubs and big hugs to both, and enough biscuits to last 2 lifetimes!
Awww, I love to see an older Dog with a puppy. I know they appreciate the puppy and all that energy, well I certainly hope so. My older dog seems to always like puppies. I want one for her. Hugs to all from Elizabeth and Miss Katie =O)
They are all lovely pictures, especially him chewing on his big brother, but this has to be one of the cutest puppy pictures ever made in the history of the world. He should be on a calendar!
Taz is so cute! He looks my girl Journey. This picture is precious. Many biscuits & belly rubs! Enjoy!
oh my beloved lord that dog is one of the most adorable puppies i have EVER seen he is soo beautiful i wish i could cuddle with him all day! =P he must be such fun to be with! =D have lots of fun and make lots of memories =)
Taz and his Brother are both beautiful!!! What a great relationship! What is the lucky siblings name? Lots of hugs and kisses to Taz and his Bro'.
Can not. resist. the face. Taz is just too adorable for words. His big brother is quite the handsome pup, too. May you all have many wonderful years together.
This photo exemplifies one of the reasons why Labs are such a popular breed. Big brother is obviously so very loving and patient. Not that labs don't have their playful side, it's just when kids get frisky, be they human, canine or feline, Labs so often just sit back and let them have their fun.
What a hilarious photo. You can read Big Brother Lab's mind from his expression. Taz is such a cute pup and so lucky to have a patient brother.
Oh yeah, your Lab looks just thrilled (lol)and probably wondering "where is the off button" Such patience!!! But that is one seriously adorable fluff ball & when he settles down (?) they'll be best buds. Enjoy your furry family, they are treasures!
Just had to add another comment with this adorable picture. What a sweet, beautiful face, so loving and innocent. (ha) And look at that little back footie! I have to go now, I'm turning to mush.
His tail was docked when we got him and I thought they still did that with purebreds. Big Bro is Ike and we rescued him several years ago - the best dog. They are really buds now that Taz understands what "grrrr" means!
"i'm just a sweetheart and you can't resist me" - taz is indeed a handsome dude! so cute with this face showing lots of personality and playfulness!! glad your lab gets along with him so well - many happy days with your puppy and his brother - biscuits and kisses to your 2 wonderful companions!
The Australian Shepherd is a medium sized dog with a coat of medium length. To the untrained eye the Aussie resembles a Border Collie, but is slightly larger and has a wider range of coat colours. Aussies come with a range of tail lengths due to a natural bobbing gene. Some dogs will have little or no tail while others will have a full length, feathered tail. The gait is smooth and free. "Grinning" is a characteristic of some Australian Shepherds and should not be mistaken for snarling. Aussies are known for their ability in obedience, agility, tracking, Frisbee catching and endurance. They are a special dog and deserve special owners.
Taz is such an adorable little ball of fur! Himself and his mentor make a pretty pair. Lots of cuddles to em both and ooodles of biscuits xxx
He is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!! Sooo precious. Aussie puppies are the cutest! Have fun with such a cute and smart puppy!
Flash! Too Bright! Lol. Anyways, your puppy is absolutely gorgeous and will most likely stay like that. Have a wonderful life,Taz!
Taz you are just a litle bundle of fluff! Hope you have lots of fun with your older brother ~ I love it :)
Oh my goodness what a ball of cuteness. I love this picture b/c the lab is being a typical lab, so easy going, "aw well so the little one is gnawing on my paw, that is okay." LOVE IT! Such a great pair of baby dolls. God Bless
I am a firm believer that every home should have two dogs. It is so much fun watching them interact. I think this is the smallest Australian Shepherd that I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing.
he is sooooooooooooooooooooo adorable and cute always fels lonley and is bashful i love his shades of his fur coat colors he always plays with company and dogs but dosent [play back and bites grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
