This is actually Apocalypse's mom, the name has a story truly, and it was not all that Biblical in nature. I wanted a dog from the time I was three, and my parents basically let me know the world would probably end before I got a puppy, so after 18 years I finally got a puppy and so we joked that she would herald in the apocalypse, and the name stuck....she goes by Paco until she gets in trouble, I honestly don't see her as very burdened by her name or I would have included the story in her bio-sketch

She's so adorable!! And the name Apocalypse is only a burden if she lets it be...besides, the story makes it perfectly logical. :) If I could look that cute with a name like that I'd darn well do it.

Who cares what she named her dog. She is adorable. Its none of your business why she named her that, she could have named her turd and it wouldnt matter as long as she is loved. Dogs dont know what their names mean, or care. She is not burdened by anything but sleeping, eating, and poo'ing. Get a life people! Enjoy the cute pictures and leave nice comments or go away

Whether or not the stories in the Bible are true will always remain debatable to mankind, but it doesnt matter either way, because what we can learn from the stories found in the Bible is how to better treat each other and ourselves to be happy and peaceful people. You are obviously on the wrong path personally Terry C., to come here and be such a busy bodied butthead and say such negative things on a website that is supposed to be a positive and enjoyable thing for both us viewers and those sharing their precious animals' lives with us. If you really feel that being ugly and negative is okay, then good luck in life, you and your family will need it. If you know in your heart of hearts that being negative isnt condusive to your livelihood and to those around you, then I hope you begin working on being a better person, starting now.

Sorry Paco's mom, your darling puppy is no less wonderful and beautiful just because your puppy's page is now marred by such stupid comments. Its a shame, thank you for sharing her with us and I am so happy that you finally were able to have that special friend in your life that you have always wanted. Have fun with her! Boy, she won the ear lottery with shepherd, akita, and corgi mix ears! :p So cute!

AWW!!!!! Her FACE!!! I want to kiss the whole length of her muzzle, which on account of its adorable length, may take some time. AIEE!!

She has PERFECTED the "whites-on-the-bottom&q
uot; look that has enabled her to evade anger after shredding your papers. I have rarely seen a dog who can make puppy-dog-eyes that convincingly sweet. You are truly in for it, because you will never be able to stay angry.

Also, allow me to point out that this is a perfect speciment of dog nosery. Just LOOK at this nose!!! LOOK!!! I can't BEAR it. I can't look anymore. It's too adorable. It makes me curl up like a grub. You guys look. It's all over for me.

P.S. I like unique names. If anyone gives you a hard time about it, and you don't feel like explaining the inside reference, just tell people that you are a Kubrick fan and you didn't feel like naming the dog "Full Metal Jacket".

Oh, what a beautiful baby~! She looks almost EXACTLY like our 3-year old, Zoe, who we lost about May. she was a Black lab/Malamute mix. Apocalypse looks just like her, and has a very intelligent spark in her eyes~ Absolutely gorgeous. Deserves all the love in the world.

OH MY!!! She went from an adorable puppy to a gorgeous lady! What an incredible combination she is... truly an original... We have mixes too (german shephard and border collie) and they have the best temperment and are beautiful... but, I get sad sometimes, because they can't be duplicated, once they 'go' that's it... irreplaceable : ( However, it makes me not take them for granted and every chance I get, I tell them I love them!!!

After reading through these comments I can hardly believe nobody mentioned that when you call her and if she doesn't come, right away...you can say..."Apocalypse, NOW!" Too easy, I know.

She is adorable! And worth the wait, I'd guess. My parents wouldn't let me have a dog, either. When I did adopt one he was a German Shepherd, we were his fourth home. A wonderful being, who my parents adored and is missed even now, 18 years after his passing. That's the trouble with dogs, their lives are too short.

Ten months before 9/11 when we were picking a name for our lab puppy, my husband wanted to call him "Jihad"(he was a little heller) ....can you imagine how unpopular we would have been at the dog park?

Our first dog as a couple was named Axel. A woman heard us, calling him at the park and wanted to know "Why would you name your cute puppy A@# Hole?"

Paco is elegant, beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
