You should find and read a book called "Marley and Me--Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog"--- it is about a golden retriever named MARley, and is the best book I've read in a looooong time...
I can see in Barley's eyes all that dogs have come to mean to me...YOU are very blessed to have her!!!

The book, "Marley & Me" is about a Yellow Labrador Retriever, not a Golden Retriever, however - it is a wonderful book. This puppy is beautiful & your pictures do her justice. Enjoy this precious baby...

um... yeah... see, it's not really fair to put goldens on DP because they are in a league of their own. no other puppy can really compete.... not that competition is the point of dp but you know what i mean. there's a danger of all the biscuits going to barley and none for the other puppies

Barley!! You are amazing! I would like to call attention to the following:

1) Barley's nose and muzzle are so obviously smooshable that it is impossible to think about anything else when you look at her face.

2) She is sleeping in a BABY CAR seat. I mean, how could anyone even fathom anything that adorable? You cannot. It is like trying to visualize 100-billion. The human mind cannot handle notions that large. Such it is with Barley's cuteness.

3) Her name is BARLEY, for goodness sakes. I KNOW I am not the only one who started "squeee"-ing before I scrolled down. The name ALONE is teeth-clenchingly cute.

Whew! That's an awful lot of cuteness. I don't know if I can handle it.

I just love the expression on her face in the first and last pics..."Why don't you love me???" So cute and yet so sad at the same time.

And the baby carrier pic is priceless. I can totally see my beagle Betty doing that here soon. Betty and our other two dawgs, Barney and Lucy, are expecting a human baby sister in about 5 weeks. :)

My Barley is also just about the cutest puppy in the world. (Yes, his name is Barley - named after the golden fields of the prairie on our island). He's 18 months old now. Also a Golden retreiver. He is adored by everyone in our small town. I can't imagine life without him. He is with me 24 hours a day. I even bought him his own truck. I got a canopy BUT he doesn't ride back there. Too far from "Mom." Life is wonderful with a Golden.
