Barley's mom says: Meet Barley, our first golden retriever. We have always had shelter dogs but entered into the world of goldens after having three boys who have lots of friends. We wanted something with a reputation of being good with kids yet big enough to withstand three boys. We bought Barley when my youngest was six months old so they were babies together. I am amazed at how gentle and smart this dog is. She has grown to be huge. A super-sized golden retriever, she is now 90 pounds. Goofy, clumsy, and absolutely adorable, she wishes she was lap size because she likes to snuggle. She is my constant companion and keeps me company in my studio when I am working. LOVE this dog.
