My thoughts, as well, Kaile48! Beautiful tri-color, and nice and fluffy . . . . That she doesn't have those border collie mis-matched and intense eyes is probably what's confusing us.
She is a Bernese, search for them on the site and you'll find Becky. Border Collie must be a misprint! She is a lovely little fluff ball, loads of biscuits!
Does it really matter what she is? I think everyone will agree that she is 100% Beautiful.
As for her eating only cat food - withhold it from her. When she gets hungry enough she'll eat dog food!!! She's not going to die of starvation in the meantime.
Becky is definitely a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. We have one and that's exactly what he looked like as a baby and he's even more beautiful now at almost a year and a hundred and twenty pounds. You'll love this breed. They are so smart and very much the clown. Have fun!!
Becky's definitely a Bernese. Among other reasons, she was featured last year (same photos) with the same name but was called a Berner. Not that I mind, they're my breed of choice and Becky's adorable. Plus, she looks healthy and happy, which is more important. If anyone's interested, there are more photos of her in last year's post here: http://www.dailypuppy.com/puppies/B ecky-the-Bernese-Mountain-Dog_2007- 04-30
well, if they are gonna recycle pics, might as well be her. What an adorable little sweetie. She does look just like an Aussie pup though. Whatever she is, it's too cute!!
What a little angel! She is absolutely precious! Long, happy, healthy life to you all. Don't forget to give her lots of hugs, kisses and tummy rubs...but then how could you resist?!! XOXOXO
Beckey is a beauty. I had a tri-coloured Border Collie once and she looked a lot like Beckey when I got her. Be ready for lots of activity. Wait until she starts to try to herd you. Millions of biscuts for this lovley girl and lots of happy years for all of you.
She is soo cute and looks to have loads of personality. Cat food is a no-no, it is way to rich for dogs and doesn't have a lot of the minerals that growing pups need. Be careful of the plants too.

DUH!!! I'm totally confused now. Kimmy Sue - what the heck is going on with the "new and improved" puppy page??? I too see where this pup was featured as a Bernese on 4-30-07. Computer glitch?????
My sheotie never ate his food. I finally tried Benefull, he ate it all after that. He loved Benefull. I even called the co. and told them and thanked them.
Beautiful puppy girl. Becky, You are just the sweetest girl and Miss Katie sends big tummy rubs and tons of petting and walks on summer days and a long and happy life.
Hugs from Elizabeth & Miss Katie =O)
Such a face!!! Becky is beautiful - no matter what breed she is. If she was posted last year with these same pics - maybe we can get an update of her grown up days???? Just a thought.... :-) Many belly rubs and hugs to her!
Border collies can be tri-colored too! She has the longer nose of the border collie. I love mine. I want to get her a herd of sheep just so she can do what she's born too. Right now she'll have to settle for herding balls, and the other dogs. My border collie is my best friend. I hope you love your's just as much. They are great dogs!
The advice? Eating cat food has to stop, eating food is bad for dogs. It doesn't give her the proper nutrients for growth and she looks like she's going to be big and might need big dog puppy food. Bone growth is important in their puppy months until 2 years at least. My boy is 138 pounds and he didn't stop growing until he was at least three, and his girth and bones still got denser.
I am not familiar enough with border collies to know how big they get.
She won't starve if you with hold cat food from her. Put Felix's food up where she can't reach it, and litter box, too. Fix her food on a good schedule (it helps with potty training, too), and that way she develops an appetite to match her schedule, and an elimination schedule. Once you decide the schedule, then if she doesn't eat in fifteen minutes pick it up and put away.
This helps her to understand some important puppy manners. Food belongs to you, and you are her leader. Food comes at a set time every day, and there is no lack of it. She might not be accustomed to the food you are providing. She may be used to eating another brand.
The cat food dilemma is universal. It's stinky enough for dog's to love, and cat's like to nibble and it looks like it's going to waste. If it gets to the point you are worried then you need to get help from a professional, a trainer, or the vet. Some pet stores have great staff who can help. You want to give the best food you possible can to your puppy as it sets the foundation health wise for her adult life.
My dog was never finicky, but his tummy would get upset over changes easily. When I switch him I do it slowly over time mixing little by little a bit more of the new food.
The best dog I ever had was a Border Collie and this beautiful girl reminds me of my Teddy. Adorable picture. Good close ups. Usually people photograph the full body. But, we never saw all of Becky!
We had a Border Collie years ago and they are one of the smartest dogs I've ever known, as well as one of the most playful.
Wishing you many happy years with Becky, many dog biscuits and lots of hugs and kisses Becky!
She is beautiful!! I just want topet her. I heard cat food isn't good for dogs and dog food isn't good for cats. I use Iams..try a little gravy (Iams gravy, not people food gravy) on top...Good Luck and many happy years with her.
Becky what a beautiful cuddlesome sweetheart you are. My favourite breed and you look just like my old dog Ben. Have a wonderful life baby and zillions of cuddles, hugs and biscuits.
What a beautiful baby you have. She is just gorgeous. I love this breed, their faces just seem so kind and sweet to me. I also love their fur. She looks so precious here, smiling away. I want to kiss that cute little face all over. Adorable! GOd Bless
ears are too big, eyes are too soft, and way too much hair for a Border Collie pup. However, that being said, I often have a hard time telling Bernese pups from Border pups in pictures.
Something was wrong yesterday. I didn't actually get Becky the "border collie" until today. Yesterday I got something else, but I don't remember what it was.
Yes, I looked for Bernese, and Becky showed up there last year. And yes, it does matter what breed she is. Breed is an indication of size and other breed characteristics. The Bernese is a much larger dog than the Border Collie. People who get pure breds are entitled (within individual variation) to get the breed traits. I don't really care, being a husky and mal person myself, but in the interest of truth....
beautiful photo - love the sharp focus on the nose.
What a beautiful dog. Bernese are in my top three fave breeds (1.Bernese; 2.Chocolate labs; and 3. everything else!)
Have you tried mixing in about a tablespoon of vanilla yogurt and a tablespoon of cottage cheese with her puppy food? Only about two times a week but its good for her and because she'll get so big it'll help her bones and digestion. (just a thought)
When I was little we had a border collie mix named Salty. He was such a sweety and he even saved my mom from a snow drift when she fell into it. Salty pulled her out by pulling on her coat sleeve. I love Becky's name. Enjoy her for a lifetime.

Oh, my goodness...
I had to leave the page open on this one; that face is so happy, I smile back every time I look at it (and the day I'm having at work makes it necessary!!)
Wha t a beauty!
OMG this dog is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooo adorable i've always wanted a Border Collie they are my fav dogs! 101 biscuts 4 her!! Have FUN raising her! im very jealouse!
She is the sweetest little girl i have ever seen! She just looks like she's smiling and saying,"So, you going to cuddle me anytime soon?"
Have lots of fun with this bundle of cuteness!
There's an old soul in this little sister, her eyes are full of wisdom.
About your cat food problem....try pouring canned tuna fish liquid over her drey bisquits, this will make it more cat foodish. And its safe and healthy to do. Another option is to use sodium free canned or boxed chicken, beef, vegetable, or fish stock. This is also safe and healthy. I use the organic Trader Joe's varieties.
Have a wonderful life with your new family member!
What a sweetheart! I just want to give her a big cuddle. Sweet dreams baby girl! I love that she's got her little snuggly with her, my Bobby has a bear he won't sleep without too, and he's nearly 3!
I agree with most of these people, I'd have to say that that is a Bernese mountain dog. But she is soooooo gorgeous and pretty. My dog poses for cameras too. Adorable!
No, she is a border collie. Pure breds border collies come in MANY colors including black tris, like Becky. Not saying she couldn't be a black tri aussie or bernese. But she's probably a border collie.
Becky this is tooooo cute. I have a picture of my baby sleeping with his monkey. Becky I wish you a long and happy life with your family. I give you lots of biscuits and doggie kisses.
Thats what I thought, shes lovely, but she doesn't look like a BC. she's to bolky to be a BC. shes sooooo CUTE though! Her little nose and everything is just soooo adorable!
