Bella is a Leonberger girl born in Sweden and now living in Finland. She loves water! The funniest thing she knows is how to splash water in her cup and then go running around. She is a puppy full of energy and joy and we really love her!
All of her pictures are soooooooooooooooooooooooo cute it was hard to pick one. She is a very lovely puppy and she sounds like a very delightful puppy to be around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now this one cute and interesting dog. I have never heard of this breed either, but am intending to look it up and find out more about it. It must be a cold weather dog, huh? I bet they get big. Anyway, she sure is a cute one and I know you will have a great time with her. Good luck for a bright future.
OMGoodness! She is bellisimo. She is beautifu. She is sooo sweet looking! I want her! Look at that face! Look at those paws. She's gonna be big. No she's gonna be huge, but wow she's gonna be great.
God bless!
She looks so old and wise in the face and yet, has a puppy body. I've never heard of this breed. Bet she will be a very loyal companion. Wishing y'all many years of fun and love.
Oh my goodness what a gorgeous, gorgeous girl!!! I've also never heard of a Leonberger but will definitely look it up. She looks a bit like our chow/aussie cross dogs. Eminently huggable and lovable she is!! Wise and sweet. Enjoy her for years!! Cath in Wisconsin
I had never heard of this breed either, so did a quick Google search. Looks like you're going to have a BIG beautiful girl on your hands before too long. She's very elegant and wise looking - bet she's as smart as they come too. Wishing you many happy years together,
This is the second time this week I've received photos of a Leonberger puppy! My sister-in-law forwarded photos of Leonbergers taken by a friend of hers living in Holland. Wish I could post one of them showing a full-grown Leo and the 7 week-old baby strolling in an irrigation ditch with the water up to their tummies. It's truly the picture of relaxation! As a result, I went on line to learn more about Leo's. They do, indeed, sound like a lovely addition to anyone's family. Enjoy your beautiful baby. Bless 'em all. Ontario, Canada
Your Bella is a doll. I have never heard of this breed. How was it created? Mixing a couple of breeds together, or what ? How ever, she is a wonderful looking pup.
Your Bella is beautiful! I saw one of these beauties at the vet one time - she is going to be HUGE! The Leo I met was so gentle and sweet, a wonderful family pup. Wishing you many happy years with your beautiful little (soon to be BIG) sweetie! Tons of cookies, too!
xoxoxo
Bella is wonderful! Saw two of these at the Dana Point Wagathon in California. They were huge, kind gentle giants who dwarfed the german shepherd standing by them. The owner said they were the greatest.

Leonberger comes from Germany, a man called Heinrich Essig crossed a black and white colored Newfoundland dog with St Bernhands dog. Then later on they added Pyrenean mountain dog in the cross. Essing wanted a dog that would look like a lion! The first dogs that were really called Leonberger were born in 1846.
Leonberger is a big but wery calm and kind breed :)
This breed is extremely sweet and gentle. I do pet therapy with a friend who has a Leo and she's invited me to a Leo party. The females get to about 110-120, males to about 150. They're from Leonberg, Germany. I just love them. My friend's has been doing therapy since he was 6 mos. and he's 9 years and still going strong.
I don't think I've ever seen this breed before, but if Bella is any indication, Leonbergers are adorable!!! I just love her dark face and how it contrasts with the rest of her body. So pretty! I also love her fuzzy fur--it looks very soft! I hope you will post more pics of Bella as she grows up!
Wasn't familiar with the breed and did some research = sounds like a truly wonderful companion. Bella looks strong, healthy, and of superior intelligence. What a beautiful girl!
