I adopted Benni from a rescue outside of Toledo, Ohio when she was 12 weeks old. I fell in love with her the second I saw her! She is such an amazing mix of the two breeds--I love her Sheltie ears! So far she's proven to be an extremely curious puppy, especially with anything that smells like food. The only thing that seems to deter her is stairs; she still can't figure those out yet. Benni's favorite ways to pass the time are napping snuggled up next to her mama, chewing on her Buddha crab, and chasing her aunt, a 14-year-old Shih-Tzu, around the house!

The Shetland Sheepdog, while reserved toward strangers, is not a shy or nervous dog. It is very loyal and affectionate to its family. This breed can be traced to a Border Collie lineage in Scotland. It is a sound and agile dog, bred for working.
