Chinook the Mini Goldendoodle

She is adorable! You must put pictures up of her when she gets older because I am anxious to see what a mini Goldendoodle would look like! I have a Golden Retriever myself and the idea of a dog that would look like a mini version of her would be sickeningly cute!

Aww...what a little fluffball. :) Too cute!!! It would be lovely to see what she looks like all grown up. :) I'm curious about the goldendoodle to see if they cause any allergies. I'm allergic to dogs. :( So I need one that doesn't cause my allergies to flair up. She's sweet though!! Best to you!!! :D Happy New Year!!

I don't see ANY of that gorgeous carmel hair on whoever is holding her wearing the black shirt. Man, that would be just GREAT, a golden that didn't shed!! Wish we had more snow in the upstate of SC, the few occasions we've had any that laid on the ground, my younger golden just LOVED it! She would burrow her nose down and throw it up in the air, then roll around in it! Your baby is just too too cute for words.

omg, what an adorable little treasure, she is just gorgeous. I have a golden retreiver puppy and she has the loveliest temperament of any dog i have ever known. This little lady is so cute, that fur is just so snugglesome, I could just snuggle right into her. What a beauty. enjoy each other for many many years x

So, she's an escape artist, huh? Sounds like she's got some husky traits. (Huskies are master escape artists) There is a crate sold I think by Fosters and Smith that is called the Alcatraz of dog crates. It probably wouldn't hold a lion or tiger, but just about any dog! Another solution is an outside run that is covered and has a concrete floor to prevent digging out. The fence wire has to be anchored to the crate frame too. Our cheap solution is the "hotwire". It's a cattle wire strung across the bottom of a fence to prevent digging. However, dogs do jump over the fence sometimes, and we had at least one dog who could tell if the wire was on or off. We don't trust those "invisible fences" They may work for some breeds, but we don't think they will work for huskies.

If your dog is an escape artist, no amount of obedience training will break that instinct. If you'd like more suggestions about confining your dog (for it's safety and you peace of mind) do write.

She is adorable! She certainly appears "spunky". She is soooo cute!! Good luck on those agility classes. She could probably do really, REALLY well.

Really tough to pick a favorite pic this time, as Chinook seems to just get cuter in every one !!! Golden retriever mixed with poodle - does that equal a gentle, loving personality with little or no shedding ? I hope she will outgrow the escape-artist phase - can't imagine the terror of finding her gone - I might be tempted to just cuddle her 24/7 and never let go !!

How kind our Heavenly Father is to allow us the privilege of being a part of a dear animal's life. Chinook's eyes tell of her heart. Often, our blessings are also challenges and thus it is with Chinook. Indeed, she needs some guidance to "bring her into her own". Before long, I believe you will truly see what a blessing this puppy dog truly is.

Chinook is absolutely adorable!! As an owner of a "mini" goldendoodle, I can say that I have NEVER had a better dog than my baby, who is now 2.5 years old. I put "mini" in quotes because while my goldendoodle's mom was 50 lb golden retriever and his dad was a 20 lb mini poodle, my baby now weighs 55 lbs and is not overweight!! I did hope and pray for the biggest mini as getting a mini was a compromise between my husband, who wanted a very small dog, and me, who would have liked to put a saddle on her dog!! My last Golden Retriever weighed 97 lbs the day we took him to the vet to find out he had cancer. I figure that getting a dog who is half the size of him was a good compromise! For those of you who ask, my goldendoodle does shed very slightly, but nothing like a Golden Retriever. I have seen many goldendoodles who do not shed at all, and some that shed a lot more than my dog. An experienced breeder will be able to help you determine if you'll end up with a low shedding doodle or not. For the person who asked if it is allergy friendly, I guess it depends on what you're allergic to. If you have a saliva allergy, I would have to assume that all dogs will affect you. If it is a dander allergy, then I would do one of two things... Either ask a breeder if there are any doodle owners in your area so that you can meet them in person to see if you have an allergic reaction, or you could consider getting a golden doodle that has a goldendoodle for a mom (or dad) and a poodle for a dad (or mom). That way, you'll have more of the poodle influencing the coat of the goldendoodle. Again, check with an experienced breeder and they will be able to guide you better. I can honestly say that I have never been happier than I am now being the proud owner of Tucker!

I wouldn't want to loose this little muffin! Please keep her safe, don't leave her unattended. Alone equals boredom, equals escaping for greater adventures...or unknown dangers...

this is just another gimmick for " designer puppies" that greedy breeders will sell for hundreds of dollars,,, of course they are cute and precious,, but paying a fortune for a mutt is just wrong
and don't forget to fix your pet,, there are too many strays dumped to fend for themselves
just hope these cuties don't inherit the bad traits that both parents are capable of having

Chinook is my daughter's new puppy and we have the pleasure of puppy-sitting her this xmas for 2 weeks. She is a wonderfully adorable puppy and this picture says "ok, what can get into next?" Chinook is as fast, warm and refreshing as the Chinook winds that Alberta is famous for - especially when she has a sock or slipper you may be after. If you add "take-away pro" and "cuddle monster" to her growing list of traits you'll see what a great Christmas we're having.
No - Chinook does not shed but may in the future, I'm not sure.

Chinook has several things in common with my mini goldendoodle, Tess. But the one that rang familiar was escaping every attempt to contain her. They are ingenious. Ours weighs 30 pds at maturity which is what I hoped for but know that they come in all sizes if they are first generation. Ours also is crazy about the snow too and loves to fetch...for kibble.
