We adopted Dodger from a rescue in California. His original owners had adopted him from a shelter where he had first been recovered as a stray. They were unable to keep him, so they took him to a no-kill rescue. My husband was the first to fall for him. I wasn't so sure we were ready for another dog but when I saw the look in my husband's eyes, I knew he was hooked. And when the kids saw the puppy there was no going back. Ultimately, it must have been fate! What a great choice--Dodger is such a calming presence and he gets along beautifully with his new big sister Savanna.
