I love puppies, a lot obviously, but I would never dress one up. That is just mean, and as much as the people enjoy it, some of those dogs, especially Rosie and Cleo look very annoyed.

don't be silly anon - they're not annoyed - they have no concept that they are 'dressed up' - they just think they're having some extra love and attention lavished on them! :) go halloween puppies - you all look superb!

I'm pretty sure that the markings on Wicket are a clever bit of photo shop, but wonderful nonetheless. All the pups look fabulous . . . and I'm laughing, imaging myself trying to do that to any of my three cats!

My guess is that if you took the costumes off of some of these dogs and snapped their pictures, they'd STILL look annoyed!

Confirmation of a dog's unconditional love ... they put up with their humans dressing them in costumes. Most of them look like they are tolerating the garb. All of them deserve 11 biscuits and a nice treat of their choice dealing with it all.

All very cute!!....Karma is a gorgeous dog and the "markings" on Wicket are quite creative and unique ;). I think dressing up a dog is not a bad thing - as long as they arent freaking out about it. Any dog could show what we would consider "annoyance" (which dogs have no concept of because it is a human term) because dogs already have "clothes" on (their fur). But anywho - I am perfectly okay with the costumes as long as they're not hurting the animal.

I think the markings on Wicket are a result of some color spray in a can. I have done this to my Labs and if done properly can be quite realistic. Cow markings are quite funny! Kudos to all of the pups here for doing such a good job of bringing all of us such joy! Happy Howloween!

let's be serious here... if those dogs really didn't want these costumes on, they'd rip them right off. Dogs aren't ones to hide their feelings and put up with something they hate just for the sake of their owners! I'm fine with them wearing a costume once a year, and it seems like most of them are too!

and right one Sean - torturing a poor adorable pup with Red Sox Garb. And Sarah, as far as teams choking go -- I won't get into your teams last season....

Happy HOWLoween! I know, my older Yorkie, Shadow, would absolutely REFUSE to wear a costujme (he won't even wear a sweater or coat to go outside when it gets cold!), but my littler one, PJ wouldn't mind. And all these precious pups deserve a big round of applause for looking so adorable :-)

my schnauzer the "whats up doc?" white one loves to dress up and so do her sisters. she didn't like their group costumes as much as she loved the bunny costume. dressup at our house is all my girls favorite esp if kids do the dressing up
i think they are use to it since puppies they love the attention and love to get their pics taken
i think this parade is adorable and i know bouki is happy she picked her own costume for it

my Whippet, Stella Blue, LOVES to wear clothes. sweatshirts, sweaters, coats, and costumes are all the her liking. i just got a new Whippet puppy and he isn't quite sure about it yet. it just depends on the dog; most short-haired pups will happily run around in some extra warmth. so stop hating and judging when it comes to animals you don't know, and worry about the contentment of your own dogs.

to those who consider it CRUEL to dress up your dog: no, it is CRUEL to get rid of your dog. It is CRUEL to physically abuse, abandon, and/or not provide your dog with proper medical attention. There are too many homeless pets whom I would sure rather see in a costume than in a cage. If you have a well balanced, content, and happy dog, they do not mind being dressed up. They are not humans, and so humiliation is not something that they feel. These dogs look as though they are loved and happy to get the attention.

I have been waiting ALL MONTH for the Halloween Doggie Hilarity Parade! I am BESIDE MYSELF with GLEE right now!!

These doggies are all ADORABLE!!! Chance, you sweetheart! You were one of my favorite Grown Up Puppies before, but now you are even more so! I recognize lots of those sweeties! Wicket Cornelius--so sweet! I know you from Dogster, too. :) Oh, I am so happy right now. So many pups in costume....I am almost dizzy. :)

P.S. If dogs don't want to wear costumes, they take them off or object in some other way. Depending on the dog and the costume, sometimes they tolerate being dressed up, sometimes not. My dogs actually like bandanas and sweaters, but not things with lots of straps. I would hardly call it cruel. Geez.

There is no harm in putting a costume on a dog, come on. They may not particularly enjoy it, but its not harmful or mean.
Wickets stripes are genius, no they arent photoshopped or natural or spray paint. Its most likely the temporary washable hair coloring spray you can get at any store around Halloween.
He is so beautiful, if you click on his picture above it will take you to his pictures when he was featured. I am so in love with this big beauty!

Wicket's stripes of course are not natural, but they are man made (not computer generated). He was very patient with me when I sprayed (with the Wal-Mart kids Halloween hair color) on his stripes and thought he was just the cutest thing and pranced all over the yard! Happy Halloween!

I'm Izzy-bella's Mom and she is enjoying her self If you look she is just yawning. not annoyed she wears clothes all the time, And dances when she walks. a-All these puppys are very loved. And loves dressing up, and getting the attention they get. We are just dog lovers and they get treated like ours kids. ( our kids are all grow up now.) This site is great, great to know other people love there dogs as much as we do.

Interesting that anyone would presume to know what another living being is thinking, or presume that another living being isn't capable of thinking, realizing, or feeling the same as humans...or more deeply...personally, I wouldn't care for anyone to presume it was okay to dress me in peculiar garb...
but, each living being thinks differently.

Just had time to look at these and they are fab! I sent it on to my daughter and grandpug. I have four cats and three of them like being dressed up. So did my old doberman who especially liked long sleeved sweaters to keep her warm. We all know love is what's important for pets along, obviously, with the medical nutritional and exercise for a healthy animal. These dogs are loved!

I love the tiger dog. I am 54 years old and used to dress up my boxers, and they loved it. they loved all the attention. all here, you go girls and boys, enjoy your pets to the fullest, way to go, and I enjoyed looking at them, thank you all for sharing

I think that if dogs will put up with it (which most will, but if you have a dog that won't- don't force it) they will be happy with any extra attention-and any extra treats- that they get! My dog loved being dressed up because everyone who saw her hugged her and she got extra lovin'!!!!

Sorry to be so late...just finding this site. Always a bit behind in the times.

Must say I laughed so loud when I scrolled down to Bouki in the bunny mask, I woke my husband up. Once he saw what I'd been laughing at, he didn't even mind I had spoiled his nap. Then I e-mailed Bouki's picture to my sister who will also laugh hard. Just precious! All the furbabies are! I'm not allowed to dress my dogs up. The floppy faux arms costumes crack me up!

Wicket gets my vote for the most creative and a little scary too. TIGER! Stay in the boat.
