OK, I've had the Daily Puppy on my home page now for months and have always enjoyed all of the puppies every day. I haven't really felt compelled to register in order to comment......until now!! What a character! Someone will have to remind him he's not a horse! He's a lovely colour -- is this a new shade (Mocha?) to add to Black, Yellow, Red, and Chocolate? For Canadians, his name is a little suspect (Harper is our current Prime Minister and not loved by many), but I'm sure he's named after someone better.

I also have never seen a lab this color and the pictures of him sleeping under the table remind me of the amazing positions in which labs manage to sleep. Silver labs are not rare, they are a mixed breed between a Weimaraner and a Labrador to get the colouring of a Weimaraner. Breeders try to sell them as "rare" to make more money thats it. You can tell they are a mix because they have the characteristics of a Weimaraner, such as the blue eyes as a puppy, the face, and the tempermant. Otherwise, Harper is a lovely pup and I wish him a wonderful life :)
