Anything good in the fridge? Yes, Happy Jack!

Best wishes with your therapy dog career! Jack is sure to cure a world of ills, at least, brighten everyone's day who is lucky to get a visit from the two of you.

Beautiful pictures but this one made me laugh!

Sooooooooooooo handsome boy , kisssssssssssssssessssssssssss him.
Aug 5, 2007 harlequinguy
Part Golden, part teddy bear, totally adorable! He's clearly a character, and undoubtedly easy to love. Give him kisses and belly-rubs from all his new fans.
Aug 5, 2007 crazyCAdoglady
Our Dante is part Golden, but we never got to see him as a puppy. Hopefully he resembled your Jack - because Jack is one precious puppy. Those eyes and that coat are just almost too much cuteness to handle! It was VERY hard to pick a favorite pic, but I know Jack is very content with his nosy in the leaves - so this is the one! Many happy doggies days and lovies to you all!

What out, bird... = ]

And you, Jack... You are pretty cute...
And your blue bandanna makes you more cute...

What a nice looking boy:)) It must be very rewarding to have a therapy dog. I work in a hospital, and we have a woman who brings her miniture sheltie in to visit the patients, and the patients just love this, it makes their day:))) Jack will make a wonderful therapy dog, and I know bring a lot of happiness into those lives he's been a part of:)))) I think all the pics are just gorgeous, couldn't pick just one, and I give 11 biscuits to Jack:))

Good luck on your CGC Jack! We just passed our CGC, and I'm looking forward to taking the next step too!

One of the most handsome goldens I've seen (well, I may be biased, because my doggie is half retriever..) but seriously Jack is just gorgeous. Good luck with your career, you certainly are a beautiful boy.

Aug 5, 2007 marbles_45_47
I used to work in a hospital and when the service dogs were there, I would make it a point to see them. It was therapy for me, as well as the patients. God bless you and Jack. Is that a real bird? Mybe it already knows Jack is gentle.

Jack is the cutest most curious little guy. You are going to have so much fun with him. When I was in rehab after an illness we had therapy dogs that came and it was wonderful. It's rewarding for the pts. as well as the dog. I'd love to follow his progress. You go Jack and family.......

OMG! What a gorgeous puppy! And what a beautiful plan for the two of you! There is nothing more beautiful in this world than a dog or puppy...ANY dog or puppy, mixed breed, pure breed, whatever. They are all such precious matter WHERE they come from.
A Golden is one of the most loving, laid back of dogs, and are highly trainable. They make wonderful therapy dogs and I would love to see Jack when he is fully trained and on the job.
As one who spent over 35 years in the medical field, in nursing homes, and hospitals, I have seen the wonderful effect that therapy dogs have on the elderly and other patients. Therapy dogs lower blood pressure, and have such wonderful healthy effects on the sick. In to the patients that Jack visits, Jack himself will also benefit from the visits. He will look forward to "going to work" every day he is "on the job".
Any breed of dog can be trained to be a therapy dog. When I worked in my first nursing home, I would bring my dog in to visit the patients on weekends. Suzy was not trained as a therapy dog, but she had such a wonderful effect on my patients that I would bring her in as often as I could. She was a terrier mix and was as gentle as a lamb. Since I did not work weekends, it was the perfect opportunity for she and I to visit the patients I cared for during the week. Suzy would sit on their laps, and gently kiss their aged faces. They loved her and she loved them.
Jack will be so loved by the patients he visits, and I know he will love them too. He is such a gorgeous puppy, and I bet he grows into a very handome gentleman. His photos show a softness about him that makes one want to scoop him up and just cuddle and kiss him over and over! Give him plenty of kisses and hugs for me, and I wish the two of you the greatest of fun and luck in your future adventures!

OMG!!! I wish I could give Jack more than 11 biscuits. You can see his gentleness & wonderful personality in every picture. You can see all the happiness he will bring to everyone he meets everywhere he goes whether he is working or just having fun. Enjoy all your years together. It was really hard picking a fav picture. I wish I could have picked them all.

I love getting to see Jack from Little Man to Big Man - growing up pictures are the best - And thank you Jack for the inspiration - I have a yellow lab who I think would be a great therapy dog and I'm making myself a note right now (gotta have those notes or I'll forget!) to check into certification for this! You're a peach - no you're a nectorine - there even better! :-)
Aug 5, 2007 llt214
Oh my gosh, I think I just fainted from that a real bird? What a wonderful puppy you have! Jack is going to make so many people happy in his work as a therapy dog. You have given his life such purpose. He will be proud to do his "job" and will be loved by all he meets. Please post his pictures when he is a "grown-up puppy" so we can see how he is doing. Take good care of this little treasure!! Hugs & kisses to Jack!

Jack's just gorgeous and I think it is wonderful you are training him as a therapy dog and brightening the days of those less fortunate.
Aug 5, 2007 Wolfenstein
Wow, what a stance! He's very impressive, no wonder he's doing so well in the show ring! It's wonderful to see someone taking advantage of all the wonderful qualities goldens have to offer and working to further the quality of the breed. Good luck with everything, you couldn't have a sweeter face for service work! :)

Jack, you have chosen a very rewarding carreer path indeed. Those seniors and children are going to be very happy to see, pet and hug you and you will be giving them the personal contact they so badly need. You are a gorgeous Golden and the fact that you are doing well in the show rings should come as a surprise to no one! Love to you sweetie.

Jack is going to be a superstar. He has such a lovely face. nobody could resist a pat and hug from him. Hope you have wonderful years together. A real sweetie.
Aug 5, 2007 iamme
Awww...he already has the curiosity look of the golden while being so young in this picture. Whenever a sound is heard they make this face. I love it!!! I am caring for an 8 yr old golden now. She's more of what I call a reddish tone though. She is beautiful. She makes that curiosity face now when she hears something. They are incredible dogs. They are so loving, peaceful, sweet, and so cute!! This one here would love to go wherever I go and she's not even mine. hehe They are truly meant to be with people so I think what your doing is awesome. I wish they would have had therapy dogs when I was younger and had to stay in the hospital would have made it way better. Best of luck to you and Jack!!!! Love the pic with the bird too!!! lol

Aug 5, 2007 bayley's mom
What a beauty!!! And what an amazing thing you're doing with him. I used to work in a home for the eldery and there was a lady that brought her golden in once a week to visit the people who lived there and it was so amazing to see their faces light up when they saw Lucy. They would all sit in the entrance to the building ever Thursday morning waiting for their visit. And Lucy was amazing with gentle. I think it's wonderful that Jack will bring the same joy to others.

Dogs (all pets for that matter) can bring such joy to people, inside and outside of the home. Jack is a very, very handsome man. Any pup that likes the fridge wins a place in my heart! He has a very kind face and I have a strong desire to rub noses with him! Bless, bless, bless you and Mr. Jack. May the two of you enjoy love and happiness for many years to come. Big sloppy puppy kisses to Mr. Jack.
Aug 6, 2007 Taiyin
Wow. Usually it's not THIS hard to pick a favorite picture. What a cutie. I love the fridge shot, too.

My parents run elder care facilities and before I moved out of the area, I used to take my shih tzu to the houses with me whenever I'd visit. And, invariably, she was always a hit. I'm sure you'll find the therapy work highly rewarding for both of you.
Aug 6, 2007 dustysmom
Thanks for sharing your plans with Jack. I do therapy work with my Welsh Springer and we both just LOVE it! We visit a nursing home and it is something that we both enjoy doing! Have fun! It is great to be of service.
By the way, he is a gorgeous dog!

Jack is a good looking boy. I love his coat; so fuzzy as a little puppy and so silky as a bigger boy. Good luck with the CGC test. Our released Guide Dog took that and passed; I'm sure Jack will ace it too!
Aug 6, 2007 tambore
Whether it's raiding the refrigerator or hanging out under the couch, you are a winner, Jack. And your companion is a darling too........ you are both bound to cheer up the elderly you will be visiting. And, please, don't grab a wheelchair and run down the hall. Just kisses, please.
Aug 7, 2007 puppyluv
What a beautiful dog. And congratulations on planning on having him trained (presumably via Delta Dog or Therapy Dogs International). It's a difficult training program to have your dog become certified and worth every minute.
When I was hospitalized it was a big old Pit Bull who came occasionally and made everyone's day. Good luck to you both!
